As Harvey was in the cooler writing his essay while Mr Clarkson was supervising. Mr Clarkson said, "I heard that you like football?" Harvey said, "Yeah I do, why?" Mr Clarkson said, "I will take you out to the football trials." Harvey and Mr Clarkson walk to the field. Mr Clarkson said, "Harvey get on the pitch." Harvey goes off and plays football.
The next day Mr Clarkson puts up a poster it says: Waterloo Road Starting 11, Philip Ryan, Jack Gidds, Josh Stevenson, Frank Maeton, Finn Sharky, Bolton Smile, Ronan Burley, Daniel Jackson, Paul Langley, Denzil Kelly and Harvey Daniels. Harvey says to Mr Clarkson "I'd rather play for Liverpool than play with Finn Sharkey!" Mr Clarkson said, "If you want to play for my team you need to get along with your teammates." Harvey shouts angrily "You're lucky to have a pro footballer in your team!" as he storms off. Harvey goes to the playground and plays Football.
The next day Harvey walks into the school with his football kit in hand, Mr Budgen gruntled "I've put 50 quid on you to score 3 goals." Harvey smirked and said, " You should have put 200 quid, sir." And walks off to the changing room.
Just be for he walks in he hears Finn talking about him to Josh (Mr Clarkson's son) "I can't believe that your dad let Harvey in the team, I bet it was only because he is a professional footballer." Harvey lunged at Finn and slams him against the wall and says "Say that to my face!" Josh and Mr Clarkson pull Harvey away. Mr Clarkson says" You're on your first strike and Finn you're on your second strike get to three and you are out of the team!" Harvey says "Sorry Sir." Finn says "Sorry sir." And they both walk off to opposite sides of the room and get changed.
Harvey walks onto the pitch and shakes the opponent's hands, the referee says "Captains come here." Harvey goes to the referee and also the opponent's captain the referee says to Harvey "Heads or tails." Harvey says "Tails." The opponent's captain says "Heads." The referee flips the coin and it lands on tails and Harvey says "We will have kick-off." Finn passed the ball to Harvey, Harvey dribbles the ball past all the defenders and chipped the goalkeeper and scored, and the rest of the goals flowed in and Harvey scored a total of three goals on his debut.
