"Stop pacing around like that."

Lillian ignored me and continued to drive me insane, walking quickly in circles. This had been going on for a few days now. Her and her worrying.

"I still can't believe Julie was this close to dying!"

"She's fine now. I just saw her a few days ago," I looked up from my ipod. "Really. You'll see her soon."

Lillian sighed and sat down heavily on her bed.

"How do you know?"

"I saw her when I was going to ask the principal something. She looked scared, but pretty much intact."

Lillian bit her lip. "Are you sure? Are you really sure that she's okay?"

I sighed. "Yes. Really. She was perfectly fine. No wounds, no craziness."

Lillian closed her eyes. "Okay..." she said in a defeated tone.

I was happy I was able to placate her--even if it was for just a moment. Lillian had been hysterical the first night I told her. I assured her she was okay, but it hadn't done much.

Listening to my music, I thought back to that night. Julie had been passed out while everyone had waited for her to wake up. I had been exactly like Lillian. Instead, I was nervously pacing and driving Alec insane.

**

"Will you stop doing that?!"

"Doing what?"

Alec let out a frustrated sound. "Stop walking around in circles. It's making me dizzy."

"Well, excuse me for worrying about my friend--who by the way was almost killed by one of you people."

Yes, I was in a cranky mood. I knew the minute Julie woke up, she would lose it. Unfortunately, she needed to be awake to have her mind erased. Or, well, half awake. Also, I couldn't stand that everyone else was being so calm. Maybe they dealt with this stuff everyday. Right. Dead students...everyday.

I was startled when something hit me in the face. I blinked and looked down to find a book. I looked back up at Alec, who was smirking.

"I told you to stop."

"You--!"

"Enough," The principal suddenly stated firmly. "She's awake."

I whipped my head around and saw Julie groaning and getting up groggily.

"Julie!"

She squinted her eyes and rubbed her head. "Emma? What...what are you doing here?"

"Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"

She looked at me confused. Then her gaze went around the room, surveying her surroundings. Suddenly, her eyes widened in horror as if comprehension dawned on her. Her hands were shaking--actually, her whole body was. She cowered on the couch and withdrew from me. She covered her head as if shielding herself against something. Tears leaked from her eyes.

I hesitated. "Julie?"

I reached out my hands to her, trying to comfort her. She slapped them away and retreated further into the couch, shielding her face.

"Stop! Just...just go away! I saw them! The blood...the blood...Anna...oh my god, Anna...Just stop!" She was shrieking hysterically. I was frozen. I didn't know what to do. She was close to hyperventilating.

Anna? That must have been the friend. I watched her cry and shake in confusion, horror, and sadness. What could I say?

Fynn moved the quickest. In the next second, he had her sitting up and his arm already bleeding. In the next second, he had pressed his lips over hers and had forced her to drink the blood. I watched as she protested for a second, then pass out in the next, with the tears streaks on her face.
