I somehow fit through the tiny, dirty window. I feel the uncut grass against my hands and knees as I crawl out. I'm temporarily blinded by the sun, but once I can see again, I look around at my surroundings. I saw that I was at a..warehouse? Weird, I didn't think warehouses had basements or windows. I suddenly feel an urge to run, I need to leave right now, or I will be caught. I start to feel this adrenaline rush and start running a random direction. I knew this was the right way because I'm currently the main character. Obviously, I'm going the right way. But as I'm running, I start to notice how far I was from any.. civilization? Being kidnapped in a warehouse in the middle of nowhere? How quirky.
After a while of running, I see skyscrapers peaking out from the clouds. I stop and catch my breath, but I wouldn't have it for long since Tyler was here. I start to breathe heavily as he slowly walks up to me. My heart was pounding as loudly that I could hear him, I could only tell he was saying some pretty shitty stuff. I start to feel dizzy, and I start to faint, but I get caught by a stranger.
After a while, I start to feel better and realize Tyler is thankfully gone. After some silent celebration, I look to who saved me. The mysterious man starts to speak, "Hi! I'm Quincy!" The moment I heard that name, I was ready to run again. Before I could bolt, Quincy caught me. "Oh, you know Gaylord..." he paused. "don't worry, I've changed! I mean, old me would've left you to fall and get hurt!" Quincy said quickly. I just nodded with suspicion as he spoke.
Without another word, he took my hands and pulled me into one of the tall skyscrapers. Quincy and I walked in and saw a bunch of people wearing fancy suits. He pulled me into a large glass elevator which, was quite cold. It seems that Quincy noticed and silently took off his coat and put it over my shoulders. I felt my cheeks warm. No. He is a murderer, he can't just change over night. He's probably planning to kill me right now! My thoughts get interrupted by a ding! And the elevator doors open to show off a beautifully marbled room. Scarce of furniture with only a long white desk, white office chair and a fancy couch across from the desk.
Quincy points to the couch, "you must be exhausted, take some rest."
"..." I was skeptical at first but he was right, I was tired. I lay down in the softest couch ever and stare up at the ceiling. It had a gorgeous mural of two angels loving one another. Odd for a killer, innt? I ignore the bad thoughts clouding mind and slowly fall asleep.
