Chapter 17 (Big Mistake)

Andrew pulled her closer to him and looked at David.
David: Andrew, how are you?
Andrew: What are you doing? What are you giving her?
David: It's a drink!
Emma: He said it won't intoxicate me!
Andrew looked at David suspiciously, so David nervously smiled at him.
Andrew: There are no drinks here; it's a school party! Did you bring it with you? Does your father know about this, David?
David: Andrew, please, don't tell him anything, okay? I'll throw it away!
Andrew: Leave now!
David left, and Andrew turned to Emma, who tried to distract him.

Emma: Hmm, I feel like I have a headache. Let's go somewhere else, okay?
Andrew laughed at her and then went to tell his mother that they were leaving the party. Julia was watching the scene angrily, and Maya came up to her.
Maya: What's wrong, my dear sister? Are you sure he's your boyfriend, as you're saying? Because I see something very different!
Julia: Shut up and mind your own business!
Julia said angrily and left the place, and Maya started laughing at her.
In the car, Andrew started talking about the party.
Andrew: Why would you take drinks from someone you don't know?
Emma: I know him; he's David. I saw him in school today, and he said that it won't intoxicate me.

Andrew: Don't trust people so easily, Emma! One of them could be your downfall. One wrong person entering our lives can make a big, bad twist out of it!
Emma looked at him and smiled.
Emma: Don't worry about me, just be jealous like this all the time.
Andrew laughed and stopped the car near the sea. They stayed in the car, but Andrew went to get two sandwiches for them. While they were sitting in the car, it started snowing. Emma looked at it and started talking.
Emma: Andrew, it's snowing! Is this the first time this year?
Andrew: Yeah!
Emma: You know what? There's a myth that if you dance with someone under the first snowfall of the year, you'll be together forever.

Emma said while looking at the snow through the car window.
Andrew: Let's do it, then!
Emma turned to him, surprised.
Emma: What?
Andrew: Wait a second.
Andrew took out his phone and connected it to the car speaker, playing Sia's "Snowman" song. Emma was still looking at him, surprised. He got out of the car and went to her side, opened her door, and extended his hand to her.
Andrew: Would you like to dance?
Emma laughed and took his hand, and they got out of the car. They left the car doors open to hear the song more loudly.

They kept dancing, swaying, and laughing. After about three minutes, the song finished, and they hugged each other while laughing.
Emma (loudly): It was the most beautiful thing I have ever done in my life!
Andrew: Me too. I will never forget this.
Emma looked at him, then at his lips. Andrew leaned his head and kissed her. After some time, they moved away to catch their breath.
Emma: Let's go to the car. I'm getting cold.
Andrew: Okay, let's go home!
They got in the car and went home. Their family was already there, but in their rooms. Emma put a light kiss on his lips, then ran to her room. The next morning, after having breakfast, Andrew drove them to school and left.

Emma and Olivia went to their class and sat in their seats. The first lesson ended, and while waiting for the second one, Emma got up to go to the bathroom. She finished and was washing her hands when she heard footsteps coming near her. She looked in the mirror and saw that it was Maya. Maya stood next to her to wash her hands while talking to her.
Maya: Is there a relationship between you and Andrew?
Emma looked at her questioningly.
Emma: Why are you asking?
Maya: I think the question was wrong, because there is already something between you. I saw it yesterday.
Emma closed the tap and looked at her.

Emma: And?
Maya: Nothing! I just loved your relationship and how he protected you yesterday in front of all of us.
Emma: You love our relationship? Are you kidding me?
Maya: Why don't you believe me? Wait! Do you think I will hate you or be against your relationship because of Julia?
Emma: That's logical.
Maya: No, not at all! I was always against Julia and Andrew's relationship. I was here on vacation visiting my dad and saw how toxic their relationship was. You know what? Andrew didn't even want Julia. It was one-sided love. Andrew didn't love her.
Emma looked at her suspiciously.
