Chapter 26 (Life Tests)

The sniper became distracted by the constant ringing of his phone, so he took it out and saw that it was Danny calling. Emma and Andrew had already entered the hotel. The sniper answered the call.
Sniper: Yes, Mr. Danny?
Danny: Did you do it? Did you kill him?
Sniper: No, your constant calling distracted me and I missed him. I'm sorry.
Danny: Good. Leave the place and cancel the plan.
Sniper: When will we do it again? Let me check my schedule.
Danny: We won't do it again, at least not this month. Wait for my permission.
Sniper: Okay.
They hung up and the sniper gathered his things and left. Danny was in his office with his assistant, Leyla.

Leyla: What will you do now, Mr. Danny? What if Tom finds out?
Danny: I don't know, but I can't let Emma go through something like that. Listen, buy two tickets to New York for the earliest flight. We're going there.
Leyla: Okay, Mr. Danny.
At the hotel, Andrew and Emma went to their room.
Emma: I wish we were staying at my parents' house or my apartment.
Andrew approached her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Andrew: We'll move to our own house tomorrow.
Emma: Our own?
Andrew: Yes, but of course we can still visit your house if you want.

Emma hugged him.
Emma: Thank you, my dear husband.
Andrew laughed.
Andrew: Let's rest now, my dear wife.
After changing their clothes, they slept in each other's arms. The next day, Danny arrived in New York and went directly to Tom's office. After asking for permission to enter, Danny saw the angry and disapproving look on Tom's face.
Tom: I was waiting to hear some good news about killing the famous businessman. I hope you have a persuasive explanation.
Danny: Actually, I thought it wouldn't be wise to kill him so soon. It's not good for us.
Tom: Or not good for that girl? Do you feel sorry for her?
Danny: Mr. Tom, I...
Tom: SHUT UP, DANNY!!! Who will pay for your irresponsibility? Do you have another plan besides the one we agreed upon?

Danny: Yes, yes, Mr. Tom! I thought about a new plan all night and I came up with something. You have already taken the first step.
Tom: What is it?
Danny: You're already working with him. You can gain his trust and make him do whatever you want.
Tom: How can we make him help us smuggle things into New York through his company? Do you think he will accept to do something illegal?
Tom spoke angrily.
Danny: At that point, you can threaten him with anything, even... even his wife. He will do whatever you want to save her life.
Tom smiled slyly and looked at Danny with a satisfied expression.
In Istanbul, Emma and Andrew woke up to the sound of Andrew's phone ringing.
Emma: Andrew, please turn off that phone!

Emma moved away from his arms and Andrew answered the phone.
Andrew: Yes, Peter?
Peter: Andrew, I'm sorry but I want to ask you something about Tom's work.
Andrew: Peter, do what you see is right, okay? I trust you.
Peter: But Andrew...
Andrew: Peter, I said do what you see is right.
Peter: Okay, Andrew.
Andrew put the phone by his side and turned to look at Emma, who was trying to sleep again. He pulled her to his chest again and closed his eyes. After about two hours, they woke up and got ready to leave for their house after the officiant told them it was ready. When they reached their house, they entered and a man brought their bags.
Emma: This is so beautiful, Andrew! But isn't it too much for two people? And we're only here for a month!

Andrew: Even if it's just a month, I'll make sure everything makes you feel happy and comfortable.
Emma: I'm always happy as long as I'm with you!
Andrew laughed and hugged her.
Andrew: There's a lot of things to be done. Let's start!
They started unpacking the bags, and Emma wanted to change some of the house decor. They spent a lot of time working until they finished. They were so tired that Andrew ordered pizza for them. They were sitting on the sofa and eating.
Emma: We did so much work in record time. We deserve to be rewarded.
Andrew: I can reward you, but I don't know if you will accept it.
Emma: How?

Andrew looked at her slyly and suddenly carried her, which made Emma scream.
Emma: Andrew, wait a second! Can I please say something?
Andrew didn't answer her and kept walking to the room while laughing. He put her on the bed and got on top of her. Emma looked at him smiling, and Andrew leaned in to kiss her. After a while, Emma slept on Andrew's chest, breathing heavily and with a reddened face. After she calmed down, Andrew started caressing her shoulder and spoke.
Andrew: Didn't Danny know you were here? It's weird that he didn't talk to you, as he knows all your movements. He didn't even congratulate us on the marriage!
Emma: I don't know and I don't care. Maybe he's busy with their illegal business. But I'll call him tomorrow anyway. He has to explain everything that happened to me.
