*Volkov's POV*
Logan takes us to his house. He carries Cassie in for us and lays her on the couch.
"You know the drill, make yourselves at home. I'm going to have Jay and Ty come over," Logan walks into the bathroom.
Magnus and I sit on the ground at the head of our precious girl. She stirs in her sleep and then her eyes open. She looks at Magnus first and then me. She smiles despite everything.

"How are you feeling?" Magnus asks.
She looks back at him, "Okay... Nothing feels broken or sprained... and what's his face didn't really hurt me, he was gentle..."
"Baby we're so sorry this happened," I tell her, kissing her forehead.
"It's not your fault. I heard something downstairs and went to check it out. I shouldn't have, or I should have at least taken on of you with me. You guys aren't at fault here, so don't blame yourselves, okay?" She says with such a stern voice despite how weak she must feel.

I can't stop my grin, "Okay, now get some rest."
Cassie nods and falls asleep quick. I sigh and lean back against the coffee table, the three guys walk in.
"We need to find them," Magnus says with as much power as he can.
"Not before you two rest. You're in no condition to do that right now. Look at yourselves!" Jay responds with more authority.

"We can't just let them get away!" I try to yell, it doesn't work that well.
"Look at yourselves!" Logan raises his voice, which he never does.
"Cassie can't lose you two. She'd break, she'd become this heartless monster. I've seen it happen before. The kindest people always have the worst downfall," Tyler brings Magnus and i a glass of water. He helps us onto a chair of our own.

"I know..." Magnus' voice breaks.
"Don't cry," We all turn our heads to look at the small weak girl laying on Logan's couch, "I've noticed something about you guys since Volkov's birthday. Logan, you're the calm one who handles talking to everyone, you're also the leader.

Jay, you hold the authority. You may not be the leader but you hold the authority to call the shots. Tyler, you are good with wounds and you're funny. You keep their moods up to help them think straight while you can also be serious when need be. Magnus, you think of the plans of action. You put your own life on the line to save everyone else's.

And Volkov, you observe. You stay in the shadows, watch all of your enemies and learn details that will be useful against them. You all have different abilities and that's what makes you all so great together. If one of you isn't at full health, none of you are. You may not want to need to lean on someone else because it's the mafia, but that's your strength. You don't give your most important missions to just anyone in your gangs, you do them yourselves and they are always successful.

A small detail that's not a weakness, is that when you don't work together on something, this is what happens," Cassie gestures between Magnus and I, "But when you are together, unstoppable. I wish I could tell you your weakness, but I can't. I don't know what it is. You're all so strong together."

We all remain quiet, not sure what to say.
"That's how we're seen?" Tyler is the first to speak.
Cassie smiles, "By everyone," She chuckles a little, "Antonio never did anything against you guys. He didn't want to know what would happen if he upset one of you. He knew he'd get the wrath of all of you. I was terrified of you all, until I got a name of one of you, Magnus Winters. My friend was one of the most feared men in the entire state. Then, I met Volkov, later Tyler and Jay, and lastly Logan. I understood why Toni was scared, you are all very intimidating."
We all chuckle.

"Anywho, everyone knows you are all scary men and together, it's very terrifying," She finishes, sitting up.
"You're scared of us?" Jay asks, intrigued.
"Um, well not so much anymore? You can be really intimidating but dating two of you has its perks. Hey wait, is it dark out? What time is it?"
"11 at night," Logan responds.
Cassie grins, "One hour until you are 27 Magnus!"

He shakes his head, "It's not a big deal."
"Oh no, now we're celebrating," I grin.
Magnus rolls his eyes and Cassie lays back down.
"Wake me up at 11:59, please!" She says before instantly falling asleep.
"She's our weakness, no?" Logan says watching her.
"Unfortunately, I think she is," Jay responds, watching as well.

"But the three of us haven't know her long?" Tyler asks, matching their gaze.
"She's important to them, so she's important to us," Logan gestures to a now sleeping Magnus and Volkov.
"I hope they make a quick recovery."
"Don't we all? She's right, we aren't whole without them."

"She doesn't know it, but we aren't whole without her either anymore," Jay feels her forehead, "She's burning up."
"She can't catch a break."
Tyler puts a cold wet towel on her forehead and then they all go to bed.

*Cassie's POV*
I wake up to the sound of five guys laughing in the other room. I smile and get up, sneaking over to the kitchen. I listen to them.
"Magnus, you and Cass will stay here. The rest of us are going to find the girls and bring them back. We'll let Cass choose what to do," I hear Volkov's voice.

No! Volkov can't go... none of them should be going! I think as I walk in.

"Um, who's going where?" I ask getting straight to the point.
"Everyone except Magnus and you are going to find the girls," Logan explains.
"Do you have to?"
"You don't want justice?" Volkov asks.
"I do, but today? It's Magnus', you two have only had one night of rest, and I don't want you to go."
"It's best to get it over with."

"Please, don't. I'm not ready to risk losing one of you again..."
Volkov sighs, "We have-"
"We'll stay. We'll wait till everyone is fully back to health," Jay cuts in.

I smile and sit down at the table. Tyler feels my forehead and gets me some medicine. Jay runs out to get a cake. Tyler constantly checks up on Magnus, Volkov, and I. Logan helps me write my essay. Tyler, Magnus, and Volkov are all in the kitchen when Jay gets home. Jay joins them. Since I can't look at screens too long or I get a headache, Logan is typing my paper for me but I'm telling him exactly what to type. From every last letter to punctuation. I lay my head on his shoulder, bored.

"This is boring. Not that I want yesterday's kind of 'excitement' but I don't wanna do homework," I complain, closing my eyes.
"It's due tomorrow," Logan punches the bridge of his nose.
"Can you push it back for me?"

"You know what kind of rumors there would be?"
"If I told you I was raped in front of the whole class?"
"I can't Cass. Why don't we take a break and come back to it?"
"Yeah, I like that plan."

Logan closes the laptop and puts it next to him. I straighten up so he can get up to help me up. We walk into the kitchen and I'm lucky enough that Volkov and Magnus are sitting right next to each other. I sit on Magnus' lap and then lay back so my head is on Volkov's lap. I smile up at them.
"Mr. Professor is being mean," I flip Logan off.
"Should I pretend to be your guardian and go have a meeting with him?" Volkov plays with my hair.

"Yeah, definitely."
Logan shakes his head, "I have a feeling he wouldn't listen."
"I can beat him up," Magnus rubs my legs.
"Ooooh I like that too, he's sooo unfair to his students!"
Logan flicks my forehead, "I have a reputation to uphold."
