Retaking the Chunin Exams

Chapter 1

Kerusha's POV

"Are you kidding me? I'm already a Chunin, about to be a Jonin. Why would I retake the exams?" I exclaimed, heavily annoyed at the news I was receiving from Asuma and my father. "Because, myself, Lord 3rd, your father, and even your younger brother all think it would be great practice, you're half Uchiha and half Nara, both your half siblings will be in the exams, and you've just unlocked your Sharingan not long ago. It's simply a chance to learn and copy more jutsu and get stronger BEFORE you take the harder test."

Asuma explained adamantly. I sighed heavily and slammed my face onto my hand, blowing stray hairs out of my eyes. "What a drag, that's unfair. I should be training with New jutsu instead of just copying it from other ninjas." I persisted further, maybe beating a dead horse, I knew there was no way out of this, but that didn't mean I wasn't going to try. "I mean, seriously, I am not trying to become the 2nd copycat ninja in existence. I would like to be my own ninja."

"Because at the end of the day, you're a special ninja in this village, and we are looking out for you. You'll just have to accept this is what's going to happen. You'll have plenty of training time in between each exam stage anyways so you will actually be training Kerusha." My father chimed in matter of factly. What did he know? He knocked up the wrong woman with me, and the right one won't even fully treat me right. "Whatever, I'm gonna go find Shika and train for a bit."

I huffed and stood up from the table, swiftly and quickly exiting before my mother could demand I sit back down and fill out the application they sat in front of me. If they wanted me to do it so bad they could fill it out, I'm focused on training and perfecting my half-assed Sharingan. Since I'm not full-blooded, Uchiha, I have to train in order to perfect mine, unlike murderous Itachi, and little brother Sasuke... I wonder how he's been lately...

I decide instead of training with Shika, I'll find Keke (KayKay) instead. Yes, i nicknamed my brothers. it's a gift I know. Anyways, i head towards the training grounds to find Sasuke instead in town, with Naruto, Lord 3rds grandson, Sakura, and 3 sand ninja. Odd, must be here for the exams, oh my lord, one of them is dressed like a painted cat. Weirdo. I chuckle as i walk up smugly. "All of you need to back off, especially you, cat boy, that there is our honorable grandson, and I will pummel you for him."

I say as i walk up cockily. The one with the face paint looks at me annoyed and patronized but releases Konohamaru all the same. I look over at the other 2 to see them slightly trembling, unnoticeable to anyone but me and maybe Sasuke. Weird, considering the youngest looking one with the red hair is definitely a Jinchuriki. Who knows? Maybe they're afraid of him. But why would he be shaking? Lord, I don't even care. "Scamper off you sand youngins, we all have training to do, and I'm sure you need to find your quarters for the duration of the exams." I say with a smug smile before turning and gesturing my companions to follow me to the training grounds.

As soon as we arrive, I see Shikamaru there as well. Good, I can speak to both of them at once and get this over with. "Shika, Keke, I need to borrow you 2 for a minute or 2, then we can all train together." Shika and Sasuke nod, Sasuke, of course annoyed at his nickname, oops, haha. "What do you need? I'm in the middle of training already." Shikamaru was always independent about training even though he knows damn well he has much to learn, lazy child. "Well, I'm annoyed, and it involves you 2 anyways, so listen up and quit whining." I stated bluntly, not caring about his annoyance.

"Dad and Asuma sensei have decided to make me take the Chunin exams again this year for practice for my Jonin test that's coming up. So, we will be training together every now and again, so that way we are all prepared. Shika and I with the Shadow possession as well as a new Shadow Jutsu I have to teach you. Then Sasuke and I with the Sharingan and Fire Style Justus. Ok?" They nod questioningly, probably confused why i need so much practice, but they don't push the subject and move to their usual positions for the group to train together.
