Kerusha's POV

I saw thru this stupid illusion the second I walked into the corridor. Childs play, i thought to myself, looking at the jonin disguised as genin. Pathetic. I walked forward and looked at them intensely. "Pick on someone closer to your level, Jonin, like me." I said smugly, smiling with a shit eating grin. They both looked at me, startled that i saw right thru them. It only took a few seconds for them to realize who i was and why it was so easy for me.

I got us through the door and into the classroom where our first proctor Ibbiki was using his mental warfare tactics, i guarantee this only worked on Naruto more than anyone else. Surprisingly, he passed without writing a single answer down on the test. I guess you dont need to cheat to pass this one. Huh? Who knew?

Anko was the next proctor. I love her, can't wait till my 18th birthday, she's already got it planned out. The Forest of Death wasn't as difficult as they painted it to be. But of course, there was drama, we need to be watching for Orochimaru throughout the rest of the Chunin exams. After the 2nd stage, we moved onto the 3rd stage, i didn't quite hear the proctors name, and honestly, I didn't care as i was ready to be done with this silly test. We were fighting against one another, random opponents, but because too many passed the 2nd stage, we had to have a prelimnary round. Great. More exhaustion.

Since i was technically just here for practice, they just used me as entertainment. Knowing i wouldn't face anyone interesting, I opted to just tune everything out until i heard my name announced. "Kerusha Nara vs. Kankuro of The Sand." I chuckled under my breath. Cat boy, huh? Piece. Of. Cake. I smirked at Kankuro from across the room as he looked a little shaken up. I whispered to him. "Dont worry, I'll go easy on you." He chuckles silently and shakes his head.

Yeah, hold onto that confidence. You'll need it if you have any hope to win. I smiled fully and went to my spot in the bleachers with the others, waiting for their matches to start. I didn't care about any matches besides Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, and Sasuke. I was facing the only other person i was curious about, so sad he's gonna fail because of me, though. Oh well, that is the way of the ninja. Sasuke is first facing Yoroikado, i sat on the rail and watched with a side eye to keep myself aware of my surroundings.

I could feel someone's eyes burning into the side of my head. I knew exactly whose eyes they were, too. Kankuro. Though i couldn't tell if it was fear or curiosity either way, i am a mystery to him. Good luck, sir. Im a very closed book, and i intend to stay that way unless learning about you in return, too much hurt. Not enough pain tolerance. Everyone I've loved other than the familial love between myself, my father, and my brother has either used me, turned on me, or lied to me.

I choose to focus on my littlest brother's match, not liking the sight i see. This guy is draining Sasuke's chakra, I'm not sure if he can beat this guy. Im quickly proven wrong as Sasuke throws the guy off of him. I put my full attention on the match as Sasuke staggered. What's wrong with him? I dont understand. Sakura said Orochimaru left some form of mark on his neck, like a bruise.

I jump at the sound of Naruto insulting Sasuke as a form of encouragement, oh brother. Sasuke then begins to move like a pro dodging each attack and then disappearing from the guys view, only to appear under him, upper cut kicking him in the jaw. That's Lee's move. Sasuke was about to attack when he yelled in pain, i watched in horror as red marks started forming on his arm, neck, and face. Just like in the forest. "What the hell...." I hate this, he cant lose. The mark begins to recede, and Sasuke regains his composure, attacking profusely and slamming the poor boy into the floor. "Lions Barrage!" I hear Sasuke yell. As he knocks his opponent out cold into the floor.
