"I'm sorry if I startled you... My friend Buck was shot four weeks ago... So, I'm careful." She speaks. Aleks looks at her while telling her "It's alright... I honestly didn't expect to see a faun out here by herself." Mae after checking him over for anything dangerous, she tells him "Buck used to live here with me, let me show you around I'm guessing you are tired, want to go to the guest room to get some rest?" He perks up "That sounds great actually.... Was there by chance a fire near here that you know of?" As Mae is unlocking the many door locks on the back door, she looks at Aleks in surprise. Mae smiles a bit "A recent forest fire? Yeah, probably started about two days ago, but they never get too close to the cabin due to the river surrounding almost all the land it's on, if you walk 5 acres out from the cabin, on almost all sides you'll reach the river."

Aleks says while scratching his head, "I was hung upside down in the fire overnight or more, I woke up to being twisted up around my ankles with this... he shows her the hammock. Mae says, "Oh, my goodness, do you remember how you got that way? Here we are, this is the guest room. That must have been scary to wake up like in an unknown place." She leads Aleks through the backdoor and past the kitchen and into the spare room, next to hers. She says to him; "it has a shower in the bathroom back there," Mae points to the door in Aleks' room. "I'll leave you some clothes on the bed for you." She says as she heads towards her room. "Thank you..." He says as he goes into the room and lays the hammock on the bed. Aleks goes to the bathroom and shuts the door. Mae goes to get some clothes, throws them onto the bed in the spare room, goes to the kitchen to make something warm to eat for her new friend. Aleks finishes up his shower, he dries off and goes to put on the shorts and t-shirt Mae had laid out for him, he then goes out to the kitchen trying to find Mae. "Mae?" He asks.

"Oh, hey! Right here!" She shouts. "Oh, hey... Whatare you up to? I'll probably head out in the morning if it's not too much trouble...I appreciate all that you've done for me, but I don't want to inconvenience your days as a stranger who just showed up in your yard," Aleks says. Mae looks at him. You're leaving in the morning? Gotcha... You aren't inconveniencing me at all, just wake me up before you go; also, you're always welcome to come backhere if you can't find anywhere to go! I don't consider you a stranger now thatI know your name!" she says with a small giggle following it up. "Thank you somuch for all that you've done for me seriously. You've done more for me than most people would have." Aleks takes notice that Mae is pouring something intoa bowl. Aleks asks; "What are you making?"

Mae says with excitement; "Just some soup for you, ill also throw some into a thermos for you to take with you tomorrow, how's that sound?" Aleks lets out a sigh of relief as he goes to tell her "I'll make sure to stop by if I'm in your area again Mae, you've been a true blessing in disguise." Mae forms a ginormous smile. "Good!" She shouts. Mae gives Aleks a thumbs up, as she finishes pouring the soup into the bowl. Aleks tries a bite of the soup Mae poured for him, he says with an astonished tone. "Woah! That's good, I didn't even notice how hungry I was..." Aleks chuckles, quickly eating the rest of the soup.

Mae smiles, "That's good, you should go get some rest, its late already you know!" She says to him. Aleks lets out a small yawn while attempting to say "Alright, I'll see you in the morning Mae." She turns around quickly, "Just a heads up, if you can't get out of your room that's because I lock the spare rooms door from the outside at night, so if you need anything tap on this wall! Ok!" She taps the wall between your rooms. Aleks nods "Ok, thank you for telling me!" He says as he makes his way into the room and shuts the door. "Alright!" She says as she rests her head on the door as she slowly locks it. Mae speaks softly; "Goodnight Aleks... Rest well."
