Aaliyah's POV

It's been 2 months since the big battle that we have. Ed and I stood in front of Al. Al was sitting down on a stone block. The two of us looked over to the younger Elric. "Are you okay?" Ed asked. Al raised his head with a sweet smile. "I can't believe how much his muscles have atrophied so much on the other side..." The man at my side blinked slightly at the two. "Do you want us to carry you?" Al smiled again. "No, it's fine." He answered. "I can walk around on my own." I shook my head and smiled softly. "Nope, we all left home together and that's how we're gonna come back. "My statement came out as cheery and light-hearted."

As Al started to stand. "Then we better get moving." Al sighed with a smile. I nodded and closed my eyes. The three of us walked silently as Ed laced his fingers with mine. I turned over to him and held his hand along as well. Al turned to the two of us and grinned. "So, brother. How's that leg of yours doing?" Al asked. Ed turned to him and gained an embarrassed look. "Well, I haven't maintained it for a while... It's stiff." He answered. Then Al spoke making me lift my head.

"Thank you... Brother..." The sudden whisper made the two of us turn to him. "Hm? What for?" Ed asked softly. His brother only chuckled slightly and shook his head with a smile. "Oh, never mind." "Whatever... Stop acting so weird." Ed teased slightly which made me giggle slightly. "I wonder how Ling and the others are doing." I set my finger on my chin and hummed in thought. "Well, I would think they would have arrived by now. It has been two months since they left after all." "I wonder if May's okay..."

Ed chuckled slightly. "You have nothing to worry about. She's in safe hands."

~Flashback~

May sat on a stone with her eyes still watering up in both reliefs. She was relieved because Al finally had his body back. As for us Ed and I walked Al. I was helping him walk as we walked toward her. "May?" Al greeted which made her lift her head. She looked over and gasped his name. "Are you okay?" May wiped away her tears and smiled while tearing her gaze away. "Yes.. I'm fine." She reassured with a smile.

Before I could ask another question I heard another voice call out for the princess. I lifted my head and saw Ling and Lan-Fan walking toward us. May stood up now glaring at Ling with her eyes still watering up. "Hey, don't look at me like you want to kill me." He groaned slightly.

The prince kneeled down to her level and revealed the Philosopher Stone he had obtained. "You're as stupid as I am. Getting mixed up in this country's problems and you didn't even get a Philosopher Stone. You know what this means, my clan won." As angry tears fell down her cheeks Ling lowered the stone and closed his eyes. "As far as your clan goes, the Yao family will protect yours."

This sudden promise left everyone in shock. Even the three of us blinked in shock. Hell, even our blinks were in sync! Talk about weird... "I accepted a homunculus as a friend, after all, if I can accept him then I can accept the Changs, and all the other clans." May and her panda started to let their tears fall like crazy, making water streams on their cheeks. Ling chuckled slightly at pat her head with a smile on his face. "Whoa, be careful with the tears, you'll drown yourself. I didn't think I'd have to start protecting you this early!" The girl wiped away her tears while letting out a tiny squeak. "Trying to accept and protect everyone... That's just too greedy..." She whined.

This sudden statement made Ling's eyes widen in shock. His hand was removed from her head which was now placed on the back of his head in slight embarrassment. "I guess he did rub off on me..." He sighed softly to himself. Ed, Al, and I looked at each other with astonishment before grinning like idiots. The prince stood up with a calm look and turned to us. "Well, it's time to get home." My eyes widen slightly now turning to him. "Wait... You're leaving?" "Yeah, we need to get back and bury Fu." Ling stated with a small smile on his face.
