*Catherine's Pov*
I left in the wee hours of the morning. I got dressed in the dark to not wake Myla sleeping soundly in my bed. My sheets contoured her body effortlessly. No matter how my beautiful girlfriend slept, her body always had a way of repositioning itself in her sleep. Her leg hiked up, usually over my hips. My arms locked up cuddled up with either a pillow or my throat. I replaced myself with my pillow. The smell of me will accompany her until she wakes up alone. I was in my closet to find something warm to wear. It was rather chilly than our little outing the other day. Out in the sun on the yacht, to this, normal cloudy day on the outskirts of Cardiff. It was cold, I could see storm clouds rearing their head beyond the horizon. Only allowing a glimpse of the sunrise in its underbelly.
My eyes grew fond of a simple black turtle neck dress, and a brown fur coat. Fairly thick pantyhose and heels. Gold necklaces and earrings, everything had to match. When one has wealth, one must express it in the most subtle ways possible. What's the saying Myla said? Money screams, wealth whispers. I came out of my closet to find a sleepy-eyed naked Myla on her back wiping her heavy eyes.
"Cat...what's going on?" She groaned rolling on her side. "Nothing annwyl. I have to go out for a little while. I have some work stuff to figure out. I promise I'll be back by the afternoon. Go back to sleep, honey." I bent down over the mattress to kiss my yawning girlfriend. "Okay...love you." She dropped her head on the pillow falling in and out of sleep. "Love you too darling." My hand grazed her bare back feeling all of her muscles relaxing in the groves of the bed.
I locked up the house as if it was Fort Knox. Security cameras all over the property with a few land mines near the coastline. A dozen security systems are scattered throughout the house. I felt confident to leave Myla alone, especially since Caden was instructed to stay back with her. Just for good measure.
Bowen and I both were heading into Cardiff. The guys were meeting us at the Hilton to go over new business and old business. I was meeting Damien today as well. I never get nervous anymore. Not over meeting people, more or less nervous about where I have to aim. Bowen held the steering wheel firm as the glare from the highway concrete in his sunglasses.
"Aye, where's the little princess this morning? Thought you'd bring her with us?" His hands switched from the top of the steering wheel to the bottom. "No, you know better. I never mix my personal life and business. I left her in bed to sleep."
"Fuckin' right! You wore her out?" He chuckled nudging my shoulder. I hit him back playfully. "Haha! Rydych chi'n ei wybod!" I unlocked my phone to click on the security app. Typing my password to look in on Myla. We were just 10 minutes away, but I had an uneasy feeling leaving her alone. I am well aware that when she leaves back to Canada, I won't be with her. However, I needed to protect my girl.
I was taught to treat any man equally if they were a millionaire or a janitor. To be treated with respect. We entered the Hilton without any issue, with the manager leading us to a private section secluded to us and us only. The others were already seated drinks in hand.
"Oui! Where were you two?" Dylan chuckled, clinking his drink to Cadell's glass. I sat myself down as the men stood up around me.
"Oh shut it. We were running late." I took off my coat draping it over my chair. "What Cath meant to say was she slept in with her girlfriend." Bowen chuckled, and the men joined in giggling like teen boys. "Come off it! I can't enjoy myself in private? Myla's my business." The waiter came around asking what I wanted to drink. It was too early for liquor but, if I handled these boys then I needed liquor. I ordered a mimosa since I wanted to drink but it's too early for something strong. I didn't want to go home blastered to a questionably concerned Myla. She knows I'm going to 'work' but it's not technically real work. Just a debrief kind of day.
