"You need a girlfriend Mason." My manager Christa said. "You need to be in the public eye again and its a good way to get articles written about you especially with your new movie about to come out. Either you can pick or I can pick. Maddie wouldnt be a bad option you know."

I sighed "I'll think about it over the next few days Christa."

"good then i will see you again on Monday hopefully with a girl."

I walked out of the building and towards my moms car in the parking lot. 

"how was it?"

"they want me to find a girlfriend for media attention."

"oh. anyone in mind."

"Christa said Maddy but i couldnt date maddy thats weird she's like my sister." 

"yeah. When do you have to decide?"

"by Monday."

"three days gosh thats a turn around."

"yeah." i sighed looking out the window as we drove back to my house. I was half way up the stairs when my mom shouted up at me.

"dont forget we have dinner with the sawyers tonight at 6"

"Ok mom" i yelled back before shutting the door to my room.

The bus pulled up in front of the bus and I hopped off. I pulled the key out of my bag and unlocked the door. My parents wouldnt be back for a few hours and Garrett was at his friends house. I opened the fridge door and pulled out a yogurt. I started on my homework as i ate my snack. After a few minutes i stopped to just scream as loud as I possibly could. I spent my past school year at a boarding school because my parents decided i was too much to deal with and disrespectful. My parents never really wanted to be parents to me I the accident child I wasnt a problem either i made perfect grades never caused problems never did drugs or boys or anything i just wanted to get out of this house. They hated me because I'm not Garrett. He is a D1 athlete he already has scholarships for football in his junior year the scouts go crazy when they see him. I think its funny im the one that got sent away he has wrecked two cars and drinks his grades suck so if football doesnt work out he is screwed and he has a new girl each week. I got back from boarding school this summer and now rumors are going around school that i was in rehab or that I had a kid. It's shitty and my parents wont care the school counselor is crap and the principle does jack shit about any of it. So i keep my head down and ignore the comments.

My phone dinged with a message from my mom. We have dinner with some friends of theirs. I hadnt met them yet they met while i was at boarding school. I picked up my stuff from the counter to go run a shower. I got out and got ready for tonight. When i was finished Garrett was back from practice and watching TV on the couch. I flopped down next to him.

"so who are these people?"

"mom worked with Lisa at some event her husbands name is Chad they have two kids brooke whos 17 and Mason whos 15. Mason is an actor or something i dont know and brooke dances. Thats basically all i know."

"Fia"

"yeah."

he looked away from the TV to actually look at me "im sorry for all the bullshit at school."
