The Deal With Mason Thames

A/N - im going on a tripp for the next four days for my spring break so i wont be able to update so enjoy this happier chapter!

When we got home i heard Mason talking to someone about filming and sick days. And then he asked me to text Finn and tell him to clear my schedule for the next two days i nodded my head. Finn asked why and i told him i would tell him later still not knowing completely what was happening. Mason sat down on the couch next to me and i just sobbed into his chest for what felt like forever. 

His mom came home eventually and sat down in the living room to finally fill me in on what is going on. 

"Fia your going to be staying with us for the time being. We might have some court things you need to attend and we are also going to put you in therapy. That lady Carol is going to come look at the house tomorrow and make sure everything is good here for you to stay. We also have an appointment to go get you a therapy dog. You can take him with you to court and filming and even red carpet if you need too and any other events. Alright sweetie." she said patting my knee i didnt know how to respond so i just nodded my head.

Everything went by in a blur that night Lisa was in and out of the house brooke was helping her and Chad was getting the rest of my stuff. Lisa and I ended up sitting down and going through some of it seeing what i wanted to keep and get rid of. They also said brooke would take me shopping tomorrow to get me brand new stuff that didnt have triggering thoughts with it. For as unsure as i felt in this moment i never felt safer and protected.

At some point Mason came in with a grilled cheese and i ate as much of it as i could which ended up being half my nerves were buzzing. Finally i went up to my room which Brooke and Lisa had been talking about redoing for me all day and climbed into bed. There was a soft knock at the door.

"come in" I said.

"goodnight Fia." Mason said from the door.

"wait. stay in here tonight i dont want to be alone." I said so soft it was almost a whisper.

"let me go get changed." he said flipping of the lights i nestled into the bed getting comfortable. 

He came back after a minute. He was just wearing sweatpants with no shirt. But i was too tired to focus on that.

"here" he said offering me a purple tablet. "its melatonin it will help you sleep better and not wake up during the night. Chew it dont swallow its like berry flavor or something." Then he walked around the bed getting in on the other side he was turned facing me he didnt get too close but i got closer to him. I didnt want to be alone right now i needed to know someone was here. That he is here.

I woke up wrapped in Masons arms i could hear him breathing from behind me. Everything that happened yesterday hit me like truck. Before i could think about it and stop myself i was crying. It woke up Mason at some point because he pulled me closer to him and whispered meaningless nothings in my ear trying to comfort me. 

At about eleven we went down for breakfast there was pancakes and some fruit on the table. 

"Hey sweetie." Lisa said smiling at me. "We are going to meet your therapy dog today at one." I nodded my head. "And then maybe if you want to Brooke can take you shopping ok" 

"thats sounds good." i said. 

I ate a pancake but couldnt get down anymore my stomach was still in knots. I went upstairs and got ready and went to go get in the car. Mason sat in the back with me. I was interested to meet this dog. Apparently he was specialized in a whole list of things Lisa gave me i didnt care to read it but it was long. We got to the place and went inside. 

"Hi im doctor Clara." said a tall blonde woman. She smiled at me and I smiled back. "Im going to be in charge of your therapy and i get the honor of introducing you to your dog. Are you comfortable with coming with me by yourself." I nodded my head. I followed her back into a room a dog was sitting facing the door when i opened it his tail wagged. 

"Go ahead and sit on the floor and pet him and play with him whatever you want." 

I sat down and he came over to me and sniffed me and i reached out a hand to pet him which he leaned into. I stayed in there and played with him and messed with him. Clara left to go talk to Lisa at some point finally Mason and Lisa came in. They sat on the couch and the dog laid on the floor next to me.

"So this is Milo he is a Boarder collie. When you take him home for the first few weeks Fia should be the only one to feed him he should share a room with her and no one else should pet him for like two weeks. I know it will be hard but he needs to zone in on his owner/patient this is the last part of his training he shouldnt get distracted by anything as you can already tell he has started to bond with her just by laying there. You should also take him on walks and with you where ever you go when you leave you will get a license and a vest for him." 

We got in the car leaving Milo laid across my lap in the car and I pet him he was really cute and sweet. 

"so you want to go shopping when we get back?" Lisa asked

"yea."

"Brooke can take you and Mason if you want to go too." 

"yea ill go." Mason said.
