Chapter 15

After spending a full boring day cleaning the house watching romcoms and texting Addison about what Caleb asked since she's obviously the only friend I  have

I fell asleep and didn't even hear when he walked in.

When I woke up I was no longer on the couch but under the covers on our bed I moved up so I could sit and saw him at the desk typing on his computer he was so serious he didn't even notice me.

When I checked the clock it was 6: 37 I fell asleep at almost 5 I wander how Im gonna sleep tonight

I slid off the bed and walked towards him it was when I put my hand on his shoulder that he noticed me

"Your awake". "yeah how was work"

"Stressful I had a desk of  work waiting for me I felt like I would drown in paper work"

I giggled "I can just see the head lines, billionaires son dies of suffocation after drowning himself in paper work he had left for months"

"Ha ha very funny" he replied sarcastically the continued

"You know, it would be much easier to handle all that work if I had a secretary"

"Very true, one with valid qualifications and hasn't fallen madly in love with her boss"

He smiled "you're in love with me"

"Is that really all you heard?"

"You promised me a response when I'm back from work"

"Do you really want to do this, like you actually want me as you secretary and you're not saying it just because you don't want me to feel lonely or something"

"Ofcourse I do"

"Okay then I guess it's not such a bad idea"

"Yes!" He grabbed my waist and twirled me around before dropping me and landing a kiss on my fore head

He wanted to go further but I reminded him of the work he had to get done so he groaned and returned to it

"Is there anything I can help with?"

"Uh, well I didn't bring most of my work home but I missed a lot of meetings and I'm trying to reschedule plus my workers salaries have been due for over a week and I'm also trying to get that done"

"Are you supposed to do all that?"

"Uh well no not really but I haven't had a secretary in a while since I don't really like to trust important details or money relayed duties with people I barely know

But now that you're here I guess I can start to get a break from all that" as soon as he was done talking gus stomach grumbled

"When was the last time you ate?"

"After sneaking to eat the breakfast you made in the car around 12 I had coffee to keep me awake and that's about it but I'm not really hungry"

"Yeah right do you want to order like real food or pizzas fine"

"Uhh pizza I guess"

"Kk"

I left the room to pick my phone from the couch were I left it and ordered  the pizza

Then started watching videos on TikTok to while away time so I didn't have to walk all the way back to the front door when the pizza arrives  

5 minutes later I heard a knock, I payed, took the pizza in and locked the door

I assume Caleb won't leave the desk so I'll just take it to him I picked a slice out and started to eat before I got to the room

Then I got in and found him sound asleep his head on the desk

He looks so peaceful when he's asleep

I debated waking him up so he could climb the bed and sleep since I couldn't carry him but then he would definitely just say he's not tired anymore and continue working.

I set the pizza on the table then picked the laptop.

The list of staff and their salary was on a printed paper next to him so I just picked it too he had only payed two out of almost a hundred. I know that cause he marked their name with a blue pen

Damn these people are living a dream life if I was getting payed the lowest of these amounts per month I'd be traveling to the moon on vacations.

I sat on the floor resting against the bed frame as I started off marking their names off with a blue pen as soon as they were payed.

When I got to 52 he stirred. I watched his muscles tense and relax as he raised his head up and started looking for me

When he saw me on the floor he smiled

"You could have just woken me up".

"You needed the rest, the pizzas next to you"

He turned and opened the box and pulled out two slices then got up so he could sit next to me on the floor and offered me a slice

"I'll get ur papers stained"

For some reason it was untill that moment he noticed his computer was with me

"Ohh you didn't have to-" "I wanted to"

I put the device in his lap "Am I doing it right"

"Wow you've already done 50 of them just within the time I slept off, you see, I knew you were perfect for the job.

Thanks that helps a lot"

" My pleasure"

He took the computer from me and the papers too and set them on the table then handed me the slice and turned on the TV

Before sitting next to me as I leaned on his arm and enjoyed my pizza

I doubt any of us was watching the show we we both enjoying the feeling of having the one you love sitting right next to you

In front of your bed eating pizza.
It wasn't really romantic and all but it felt comfy and peaceful.

It felt like home
