Rocky decided to play some video games on the TV in their bedroom for a while to clear his head.
He had no idea how long Colt and Tum would be out there for, could be for hours.
He was answered when he heard the two laughing all the way up the stairs.
"Wow, I am actually impressed, bro. You have gotten rather good." Colt complimented the younger.
"It's no big." Tum replied.
Rocky paused his video game and watched as the two came storming into the room in a rather very cheery mood. It made Rocky both jealous and rather mad.
He knew he should be happy their finally getting along but now Rocky has been feeling left out a lot more than usual.
"Hey Rocky! You should see how well Tum Tum is getting with the board. He's almost as good as me."
Colt said ruffling Tum Tum's shiney brown hair. He hates whenever Colt did that no matter it was meant to be in an affectionate way or not.
Rocky just rolled his eyes.
"Ya, ya that's nice. While you where out Jo called for you, Colt." Rocky said in agitated tone of voice. If he was trying to hide his feelings for Jo he wasn't doing a good job.
Colt looked straight into Rocky's eyes with a questioning look and there was a long awkward silence.
Tum Tum could feel the tension between his brothers already and slowly crept away, sneaking onto Rocky's racing game while his older brother was occupied.
"Why didn't you tell me? I was just right outside."
Rocky shrugged his shoulders.
"I figured you and Tum Tum where having a lot of fun. I didn't want to bother you." Rocky said he was realizing that he was giving away his crush known to Colt about Jo secretly and backed off, being more chilled.
He went over to the closet and grabbed his duffle bag, already beginning a list of what he was going to bring with him to summer vacation.
Colt glared from across the room at Rocky as he watched him sit on the floor and get out a notepad.
"I'll try and call her now, anyway." Colt said under his breathe. He had always known deep down that Rocky liked Jo. He didn't care if Rocky wanted to go out with her, he just hated how Rocky was treating him as if he was a bug.
He thought he would ask to use his parents room or dads office to make a phone call because he didn't want Rocky meddling in.
That night after dinner the brothers then got a hold of Grandpa to make arrangements for going to stay at Jo's place for the summer.
Mrs Douglas even asked if it was ok she drove down with them in a separate car because she wanted to meet Jo and her family.
The boys agreed, since she was allowing them to go in the first place.
The plan was Mrs Douglas would drive them down to grandpas (since she wasn't going to be super busy at that time) and then grandpa would drive the boys after the weekend to Jo's house.
He at least wanted them to stay for a while and he had managed to get someone to watch his house for the time being as well.
