Colt's POV

I was getting quite mad at my brother Rocky lately and so I been avoiding him for the past few weeks.

I even talked to Jo about their conversation but she told me not to get so worked up over it, since she hadn't gotten to talk to Rocky anyway. I figure she doesn't know he broke up with Emily, either.

Great, I guess I have competition with Rocky now, as usual. As soon as we get to Jo's I'm going to try and confess to her or at least try to see if she also has feelings for my brother.

Right after breakfast on the Sunday we got all the luggage into my moms van and then we got ready to head to grandpa's. I was equally excited and nervous at the same time.

My mom offered to take us all out for Pizza at the same parlour where I first met Jo three summers ago.

If only I could call Jo and invite her as well. The drive up was long and silent.

My mom must have felt the tension in the air.

I mostly stared out the busy traffic highway, deep in thought.

My brother Rocky sat in the front beside my mother, his eyes totally lost as well.

My mom then decided to break the ice.

"I bet Jo is really excited to see you guys again. How long has it been!"

My brother Rocky answered really fast, which made me even more mad.

"Almost two year now." Rocky said grumpily.

Mrs Douglas glanced from Rocky to looking at me through thee rear view mirror. She could see my total disgusted face.

Tum Tum was in his own little world beside me, eating and playing on his gameboy.

"Hey Colt, do you think Jo can show us where the skate park is?" He asked, not even looking at me.

"I'm sure she might know where one is. I'll have to ask her when we get there."

(Time Skip!)

"Ok boys, are you hungry now? Once we get everything in we can get lunch." My mom said.

Rocky and I bumped into each other at the other end of the car, glaring.

"I'm game!" Tum Tum said excitedly. He smiled when he saw grandpa coming out of his cabin.

"Boys!! Jessica! It's good to see you!" He threw his arms out when the three of us ran up and hugged him, my mom trailing slowly behind with a few leftover bags that where forgotten.

"Hey dad!" She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Want to go out for pizza?" I couldn't help but laugh when I saw grandpas disgusted face.

"Not pizza!"

"Doesn't that parlour have other stuff grandpa can order!" Jessica asked looking at Rocky and I.

We shrugged our shoulders. Honestly it has been a while since we ate there and the menu could have changed.

"I'll ride with grandpa!" I suddenly shouted.

We all got our luggage and bags into the cabin.

Then after a quick bathroom break everyone piled into the two different cars.

The city wasn't too far away from grandpas, but on the way I saw something very familiar.

Parked on the curb was the familiar yellow truck that belonged to JJ, one of Jack Hardings main goons!

I even thought I saw him turned away from me, talking to someone at the end of the truck, or he could be paying for the parking spot.

I wanted to ask grandpa to stop but we where already going pretty fast.

My heart thudded with curiosity and fear as I sunk back into my seat, my short brown hair flipping all over the place from the wind.

Had Jo been right about Jack Harding wanting revenge?

"Hey grandpa! I want to check something out when you park, ok? I thought I saw someone I know and want to say hi." I didn't like lying to grandpa, but I just wanted to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.

"Ok, sure. I'll go with you. Let me just make sure your mom is already inside." Grandpa said. I groaned and nodded my head. He is getting more and more protective of me and my brothers.

I was jumping up and down on my toes in ancipatoon and watched as he disappeared into the pizza park or.

I really hope it won't take forever.

I was even more annoyed when I saw Rocky join him.

Rolling my eyes I told them to hurry their butts up.

"What's going on, Colt?" Rocky asked with attitude.

"Grandpa, why did you bring him? He's been a real jerk to me lately." I didn't care anymore if I hurt my brothers feelings.

Grandpa gave me a stern look.

"Colt! He's your brother, don't be so harsh. You guys should make up whatever it is that bothered you too, you usually get along so well." Grandpa pointed out. He was right about that, but he had no idea a girl is getting between us right now and that girl is Jo.

"Whatever." I answered, rolling my eyes.

"Just don't get in my way." I said, mostly to Rocky. I could see Rocky's hurt expression and grandpas surprised look on both their faces and brushed it off.

I then began to walk towards the spot where I last saw JJ's car, but he was no where in site.

"Shit." I cursed under my breathe. I took too long to do any sleuthing.

Rocky's' POV

I ignored my brothers words and looked ahead of him after I heard him curse. I recognized a yellow truck parked on the curb a few blocks away and before I knew it, I was running towards it. It felt like there was trouble ahead.

Colt was definitely lying when he said he saw someone familiar. The reason why I came out with grandpa is because I was hoping it was Jo.

"You could have told me it was JJ's car you saw." I snapped back. Colt gave me an f u look and we both decided to examine the truck.

"Boys, calm down. What's this all about!" Grandpa asked.

"Nothing." We said at the same time and in the same grumpy tone. Grandpa glanced between us and I didn't see anything inside the truck or in the back of it.

"Let's go, I'm hungry." I turned around and decided to leave.

"Wait, Rocky! Check this out." Colt had brought me a piece of paper and when I unfolded it my eyes widen.

It was an envelope and invitation of some sort.

I read it outloud.

"Please come join our daughter Jo's 16th birthday bash this July 14th. "

Colt read outloud and looked up at me.

"This can't be good." I said, biting my lips. Why on earth does JJ have Jo's birthday invitation?

I completely forgotten her birthday was in the summer and I'm sure Colt did, too.

Colt tossed the envelope back into the truck so it wouldn't be missed and marched towards the pizza parlour. Grandpa was trailing behind.

"I don't like this, Rocky. Should we tell Jo?" Colt asked. It was as if he forgot we where fighting over her. I thought quickly for an answer.

"No, we don't know anything yet. We should probably tell Charlie to keep an eye on Jo." I answered. Colt nodded his head in agreement.

"Right, yeah. But what could be JJ's idea?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"How should I know!?"
