Josie's Pov:

The first week at Hogwarts went quite well. I thought I would be by far the worst at using magic since I'd never done it before, but it turned out that I wasn't even that bad and even some purebloods had their struggles with it.

"Daydreaming again, Potter?" The voice to my left spat in my ear. And of course, Draco Malfoy had been one of my struggles. "Oh, shut your mouth Malfoy!" I barked back as I looked straight into his grey eyes. He didn't budge. After a while of just glaring at each other Fred and George came to my rescue.

"Move Malfoy. She doesn't want you around," Fred said with gritted teeth. Malfoy once again glared at them and walked away, making sure to hit my shoulder while doing so. "You okay?" George asked. "Yeah, I can stand up for myself you know," I sighed but thanked them. I looked at the time and jumped in shock. Shit. I'll be late for class.

"Guys, thank you but I have a class now so," I said, already walking away. With loud pants, I came to class just in time.

"Welcome to your first flying lesson," Professor Hooch said with excitement. I already wanted to leave. I hate heights so I'm pretty sure I will hate flying on a broom just as much.

She explained to us how to get your broom to magically move up in our hands and how we properly have to sit on it. After she explained how we could actually fly, everyone was trying to push themselves into the air. Harry was the first one to be in the air, followed by Malfoy.

I put my fear away, squeezed my eyes shut, and pushed myself off the ground. I'm flying. I am actually flying.

I didn't dare to look at the ground. Instead, I just looked at everyone else and held on to my broom for dear life. Everyone seemed to enjoy their time on the broom.

How do I get down again? My hands started to shake and I was getting really uncomfortable. Why did I get myself in this position? Malfoy's definitely gonna make fun of me because of it.

"Josie, watch it!!!" Someone suddenly yelled. But too late, he already crashed into me. With a loud bang, I crashed onto the floor. I let out a yelp and held my shoulder. God, why me?

"Oh god, Josie I'm so sorry!" Neville said who was now crouching next to me. He helped me sit up and soon after a crowd was around me, watching what happened. "Josie! Are you okay?" Harry who also rushed to my side asked me with worried eyes. "Do I look like it?" I snapped at him. His eyes widened slightly at my remark. I didn't want to be rude, I was just in immense pain right now.

"Well, well, well, if that isn't poor little Potter who can't even stay on a broom without falling off," Malfoy said as he and his stupid little friends laughed at me. "I never saw someone clinging onto a broom like that and still fell off," He said, still laughing, as Crabbe and Goyle high-fived him.

Tears were forming in my eyes and I tried everything so nobody would see them. Stupid Malfoy. he doesn't even know what he's saying.

"Oh, dear! Okay everyone wait here and DON'T use your brooms! If I see anyone using their broom when I'm back, you'll get to know me, understood?!" Professor Hooch said sternly, as she helped me up and brought me to the hospital wing.

Thank god Madam Pomfrey could help me very quickly, so I was already back on my way to our common room. I still had to be careful with my shoulder, but she said everything will be back to normal in a few days.

I actually loved the Slytherin common room. It was darker than the Gryffindor common room, since I was there a lot to see Harry, and full of green and silver colors. I liked to sit down on one of the couches and read, till my eyes would get too heavy and I would fall asleep. Pansy was always the one who woke me up, so I could go to my actual bed.
