Josie's Pov:

Christmas was just around the corner. Hogwarts was covered in snow and the lake was frozen. It was cozy in our common room and the great hall since the fireplace kept us warm. In the corridors, on the other hand, it was freezing. And the worst place to be was the potions classroom. It was so cold, that I brought an extra jacket to class.

"I'm just so sorry," Malfoy said who was sadly still placed next to me in potions class. "For all the people, that have to stay at Hogwarts over Christmas because they're not welcome at home,"

He said while looking over to me and then to Harry and Ron who were placed together at a different table on the other side of the room. Crabbe and Goyle laughed at the table next to us.

I gave Draco a death stare as I concentrated on my potion again.

Well, it was true that Harry and I wouldn't return back to the Dursleys for Christmas. Last week Professor McGonagall came over and listed everyone that wanted to stay at Hogwarts down. Harry and I obviously, immediately agreed to stay here. There's no way I would go back there when I just could stay here.

My real home.

Pansy and Blaise, with who we really grew close over time now, would go home over the holidays and that was totally fine, even tho I would be alone in our dorm. Blaise was actually good friends with Draco as well, but he's way nicer than Malfoy could ever be. I bet Draco gives him a hard time for him even talking to us.

When Snape dismissed the class, we got out of the cold classroom and walked back to the great hall. On the way back, we met Hagrid, who was dragging a tree through the corridors.

"Hey, Hagrid, do you need help?" Ron asked him, as Hagrid was breathing heavily.

"No, I'll be fine. Thanks, Ron," he replied with a small nod.

"Could you please move?" Malfoy said with a cold voice behind us. I rolled my eyes. Could this kid never shut up?

"Wanna get some pocket money with that huh Weasley? You're probably hoping to be a gamekeeper too after you're done with Hogwarts." Draco spat. "This hut must be a palace for you, compared to what you're used to from your family," he continued and I clenched my fists together in anger. How dare he talk about the Weasleys like that.

Ron stormed towards Malfoy. Just at that moment, Snape came up the stairs.

"WEASLEY!"

Ron let go of Malfoys robe, which I gave him back after the Quidditch game. He literally tore it away from me, mumbled something I couldn't understand, and if I saw correctly he even had a tint of rosie cheeks. But that could also be from the cold...

"He got provoked Professor Snape," Hagrid said as he stretched his head out from behind the tree. "Malfoy insulted his family," he explained.

"That might be true Hagrid, but a fight is against the house rules," Snape said monotone as he watched Malfoy and Ron closely.

"Five points from Gryffindor, and now hurry up and leave."

I rolled my eyes but did what he said, and left just as everyone else.

"I hate both. Malfoy and Snape," Harry growled beside me, as we made our way to the great hall.

The great hall looked absolutely beautiful. on the walls hang garlands and not less than twelve Christmas trees were spread around the room.

Tomorrow would be the last day of school, till the holidays.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione already made their way out again. I wondered what they were up to the whole time.
