TARA ASKED VALENTINA to come with her to a fraternity halloween party.

tara told her it was a costume party, so valentina decided to dress as a fairy. it was simple, cute, and valentina felt like it suited her.

most of the time there valentina spent talking to mindy and anika, but while she was getting a drink, she met a girl named ivy. ivy was a junior at blackmore and stayed with valentina the rest of the time she was there.

while she was dancing with ivy, valentina looked over to her left and saw chad and his roomate ethan.

ethan and valentina had only interacted twice, and if valentina was being honest, she thought he was kind of cute, but also kind of awkward.

she told ivy she'd be right back and walked over to chad and ethan while ivy watched her.

"hi chad!" valentina yelled over the loud music, reaching up to hug the boy that was noticeably taller than her. she looked over at ethan and gave him a smile, to which he smiled back.

"come dance with me! i made a new friend." valentina said to the boys, looking over at ivy.

before chad could respond, anika came over and interrupted him, "hey, big guy, you're needed."

anika led the way and chad, ethan, and valentina followed.

they turned a corner and looked up to see tara walking up the stairs holding hands with some creepy looking guy.

"hey, partner," chad spoke, "tara's good down here." he pointed at tara.

the creepy guy turned around and looked at chad, "sorry buddy, i didn't catch that."

chad scoffed, "yeah, you did."

tara walked down the stairs, "no, chad, listen. it's fine. i want to," she looked him in the eyes.

the creepy guy, who valentina now recognized as
one of the most annoying guys at blackmore, frankie, walked down the stairs towards chad.

"yeah, yeah. see chad, she wants to."

frankie grabbed tara's arm and pulled her up the stairs, causing her to stumble.

chad pulled frankie down and started hitting and shoving him. "get your fucking hands off her." he said.

valentina moved out of the way so chad had enough space to beat his ass.

frankie pushed chad in anger, "get the fuck off me!" he yelled.

the two continued pushing each other while tara protested, "guys! guys stop! stop!"

they ignored tara and finally stopped shoving each other when sam pushed them apart, "hi. yeah, yeah," she looked at the two, "sorry to interrupt, i'm just gonna tase you in the balls real quick."

she took the taser that was in her hand and put it against frankie's testicles. he groaned in pain and fell to the floor.

"don't ever lay hands on my sister." sam looked at frankie as he continued moaning and groaning.

"fucking bitch!" he yelled, still on the floor.

sam turned around to look at tara, "are you fucking kidding me?" tara asked, "you're stalking me now?"

sam watched as tara walked off and some random guy spoke, "holy shit, it's that psycho girl!" sam looked at everyone as they stared and took videos, eventually walking off to follow tara.

the rest of the group - mindy, anika, chad, valentina, and ethan - followed the sisters as they strutted angrily.

"tara. will you stop?" sam tried to talk to tara.

"i cannot believe you did that. you embarrassed me." tara looked away from her sister.

"that guy was a dick. he was gonna take advantage of you!" sam defended herself.

"so?" tara turned around, "so?" sam repeated. "if i wanna hook up with an asshole that's my decision! it's my decision!"

the group awkwardly watched the sisters argue.

"okay," sam sighed.

"it's not about you! i mean you- you- you're out of my life for five years and then you can't leave me alone for five minutes-"

"because you're not dealing with what happened to us. have you even gone to see the counselor once?"

valentina shifted on her feet, realizing she left ivy. "shit." she muttered as the carpenters continued to argue.

"what was that?" ethan asked her.

she looked up at him, "oh, nothing. sorry."

mindy and anika looked at the two, then looked at each other, sharing the same thought.

valentina focused back on the sisters.

"so you're just gonna pretend it never happened?" sam asked her younger sister.

"what are you doing here sam? in new york? i mean you- you're working two shitty jobs to help with rent or whatever, but what's your plan?" sam looked at her sister.

"i know what i'm gonna do. okay? 'cause i'm gonna keep going to college, i'm gonna get my degree, and i'm gonna live my life." she hit her chest in emphasis, "my life. okay? i know. you just follow me here and you won't let me out of your sight."

sam shook her head, "i'm just trying to look out for you."

"i-" tara sighed, putting her hands over her face, "i know. i know you are." she paused, "but you can't do it for the rest of my life though. you have to let me go."

everyone looked over as a group of girls approached sam and tara. one girl shouted, "hey!" and threw a cup of whatever drink she was holding on sam.

"murderer!" the girl said as the other girls laughed and walked away.

sam went up to the girl and pushed her, "what the fuck is wrong with you bitch?" chad pulled sam back to prevent her from doing any more harm.

"you got a problem with me?" sam said as the other girls yelled and recorded.

the same girl started speaking again, "get away from her. she knows what she did."

"i didn't fucking do anything!" sam yelled.

"sure." the girl trailed off, walking away.

the rest of the group walked off as sam sighed.

valentina watched ethan as he went up to sam and offered her three tissues, as if that was going to do anything.

still, she thought it was sweet.
