The journey soon came to an end, without the group consisting of Fred, George, Emma, Lee, and Katie, even reacting that way. The train halted to a stop, with a sight jolt. The quintet gathered their things and climbed out of the train
"Firs' years!" came a heavy voice, averting their gazes towards a huge man with a lantern. They walked to them, with the other first years. "Firs' years, over here, c'mon don't be shy!" he said, as they neared him. His appearance became clearer. He had long shabby black hair, and a shabby disheveled beard, that reached his chest. Most of his face was covered in hair, behind which his smile was hardly visible.
The first years assembled around him. He was at least three times their height. He looked quite like a giant
"C'mon, follow me," Hagrid said, as the lamp dangles in his gigantic hand. "The first years are supposed to go by boats"
Emma realized that at that moment. She had forgotten about everything, amid her excited thoughts
"What?" Katie whispered, "By boat?"
"Relax, I'm told that it's supposed to be fun," Emma said calmly
"Yeah, maybe for you But you see, I'm not exactly an 'adventure type' person," Katie said, anxiously "I've never been on a boat"
"Well everything has a first time, Bell" Fred said.
They walked in the dark, along the stone trail, lined with trees that preceded a thick forest. Numerous night sounds could be heard, mixed with the low chatter, and footsteps of the students, as they trod on the dried leaves. The sky was barely visible, as it was shielded by the canopy of the forest Emma found it quite peaceful.
Soon they emerged out onto a bank, that looked forward to a huge black lake, it's surface glassy, and the water shimmering in the moonlight It magnificently reflected the dark sky scattered with twinkling stars, and the majestic Hogwarts castle loomed above on the hill situated a bit higher. The glimmering light peeking out from the huge windows, Illuminated the lake's surface, as it rippled with the gentle breeze.
Emma smiled at the beautiful sight, of both the lake and the castle
"Whoal" Fred, George, and Emma said together, staring ahead
"You guys have telepathy?" Lee asked, impressed
"Sometimes," they said together, smiling
"Okay, no more than five to a boat Hagrid said. "All aboard"
"Oh no," Katie muttered with furrowed eyebrows.
"Oh come on Emma said taking her arm, "I promise I won't let you fall, but in case you do"
"Emma" Katie said
"Listen to me. Jordan will jump in himself to save you" she said smirking, to which Lee snapped his neck toward her,
"Excuse me?" he said
"Well you see," Emma said "If she does fall we need someone, the least valuable to risk their lives, which is equivalent to you," she said Lee rolled his eyes
"At least I am valuable at all Weasley" he countered "You, on the other hand, are completely useless."
Emma raised her eyebrow, as they settled on the boat "You know-"
"Will you two shut up?" George said, frustrated
Making a mental note to avenge herself, Emma shut up, and so did Lee. The boats glided ahead, towards the other bank, effortlessly. There was no chance that anybody would fall into the water unless they tried jumping in. Soon, they reached the other bank and stepped out of the boat
