After that night, Katsuki's been avoiding Izuku. He's been focused more on football instead. There was no way he was in love with the curly green headed nerd. There was just no way. He couldn't be. He was the star quarterback. The only thing Katsuki falls in love with is football.
"Dude! Did you not hear me?!" Eijiro scoffed as he playfully shoved Katsuki. "I said 'are you ready for the homecoming game tomorrow?'"
"Yeah, I fucking heard you." Katsuki scoffed as he saw Izuku converse with Ochako. "What's their situation?" He asked and eyed Eijiro.
Eijiro looked at Katsuki then looked at the cheerleader and volleyball player. "I think they're best friends." Katsuki let out a soft 'tch.' "Woah, man! Are you jealous?!" Eijiro widened his eyes in disbelief.
Yes.
"Hah?! Me?! Jealous?! In your fucking dreams, shitty hair!!" Katsuki screamed at Eijiro who just laughed at his hot headed friend.
"Jeez, man. No need to get so hostile. I was just kidding." Eijiro laughed and sighed quietly. "Are you gonna invite Midoriya?"
"No."
"Awe, man! Why not?!"
"Because people are gonna think we have something."
"Then I'll invite him."
"Wait—"
"Yo, Midoriya!" Eijiro ran over to the volleyball player with a smile plastered on his face. "So, dude, you should come to the game tomorrow night! It's our homecoming game, and since you're a volleyball player, you know how important this game is, right?!" Eijiro was practically shaking with excitement as he waited for Izuku's answer.
Izuku couldn't help the small smile form on his face. "I'd love to come to your game, Kirishima, but—"
"Pleeeease!!!!" Eijiro begged as he grabbed Izuku's shoulders. Katsuki could feel a growl forming in his throat as he watched his best friend touch the other male.
"Okay, okay! I can't say no to that!" Izuku laughed as he gently pat Eijiro's head.
"Yay!" Eijiro smiled happily as he hugged Izuku tightly and ran back over to Katsuki who was currently drowning in his own jealousy. "He said yes!"
"Fucking wonderful." Katsuki huffed out as he walked over to Izuku. "I guess you get to see me in action tomorrow night, nerd." Katsuki spoke with a slight smirk on his face.
Izuku couldn't help but find this attractive. He felt a light shade of pink dust his cheeks as he chuckled softly. "Yeah, I guess so. I can't wait." He said sheepishly as Katsuki chuckled back with a smirk. He walked off with Eijiro leaving a flustered Izuku with a confused Ochako.
"'I don't have a crush on him' my ass." Ochako commented as she rolled her eyes. "You two are so into each other." She smirked as she looked at Izuku.
"I—I don't have a crush on him. Do I think he's insanely muscular and—and attractive? Yes, but there's no way I—I would even stand a chance with him..." Izuku sighed out as he blushed at the thought of him and Katsuki in a relationship. "And besides... we—we don't really know each other..." His tone kinda dropped as he walked next to Ochako.
Ochako frowned and felt bad for her friend. She knew how bad his anxiety and overthinking got, but she could at least try and help her anxious friend. Right?
"I don't know, Izu. I would say ask him out. The worst he could do is say no." Ochako tried to encourage her friend to make a move on the blonde.
"Or humiliate me." Izuku sighed quietly as he tried to shrug it off. "Just forget it. Are you hungry?"
