Gon's POVOh my god. Oh my god. OH MY GOD I'M SCREWED. R.I.P Gon Freece. The grim reaper was here to get me. I'm getting full on dragged towards the light. I am lounging in my grave. I never got to say goodbye. I'm too young and beautiful to go to die!
I was scared shitless that Killua was going to screw me over, and tell the police to take me away to jail for forever because I treated him so rudely. Was he the psycho type of famous person? Or the murder-you-in-your-sleep kind of guy?
Guilt brewed heavily in my stomach.
I wasn't thinking about my actions when I kicked him out. And now here he was, crouched at my doorstep waiting for his revenge.
The walk into the shop was awkward. I curtly greeted Killua, then invited him inside. We stiffly nodded at each other and the hairs on my arms perked up anxiously. Ashton and I sobered up real quick when I unlocked the door. We all awkwardly squeezed through the small doorframe with a quiet 'oops' and a 'sorry'.
I led the two taller men through the front of the shop, past the beaded door and into the small kitchen. The sound of their heavy footsteps behind me lurked closer, and I hurried to get through the unclean shop. I grabbed three glasses and filled them with water quietly, giving me something to occupy myself with.
Killua shifted on his feet uncomfortably as Ashton stared him down intensely with awe. (We don't get many celebrities around here.) Killua fiddled with his fingers and cleared his throat, signaling Ashton to knock it off. He snapped up and immediately apologized, and walked closer to Killua to introduce himself.
The tension in the room was thick enough to be cut with scissors. I was on edge, straining my ears to hear Killua's every move. The dull hum of the house drowned out my frustration. I had been having such a nice night with Ashton, that I completely forgot about the Killua situation. My face turned red with embarrassment as I remembered the other day.
I sneak a look over my shoulder while I filled the glasses with tap water and scanned Killua's appearance. He was dressed more casual and less intimidating than yesterday, his hands were tucked in his pockets, and he had a slight slouch in his posture. His neck and blue t-shirt were speckled with sweat, and the droplets had dampened his hairline, slicking his bangs to his forehead, and causing his cheeks to flush. The humid air left his hair product running, leaving a frizzy, white ball on top of his head. He wore sneakers with sweatpants that hug low and bunched around his ankles which also showed signs of dampness from being dragged through the grass. His face was sharp and confident, as if he knew how good he looked all the time. The large fan in the kitchen blew over Killua, letting his smell settle over me. He smelt slightly of salt and linen.
Killua glanced at me from the corner of his eye, mid conversation. The sharp blue pierced my brown, trying to get my attention. I dropped my gaze immediately and faced the sink again.
I held the three glasses waitress style, and set them on the island in the kitchen. Killua left Ashton asking for a minute of privacy and walked over to me. I nibble my lip nervously as he came closer. Ashton turned around confused and focused deeply on the chipped walls.
"Look, about yesterday, I'm really sorry I kicked you out like that. Honestly, I had no clue what I was thinking. I was just super upset about my car and I wasn't thinking clearly..."
He opened his mouth to say something then looked back at confused Ashton. He leaned forward with a gentle expression, our faces inches apart. A gentle puff of air from his lips breezed over my face causing my eyes to flutter. A clean breath of mint smell came from his mouth and I held the gaze of his alluring eyes as he continued past my face to speak in my ear. His breath tickled my ear and caused my face to warm, and my stomach to flip,
