chapter nine

Zoe looked into my eyes looking concerned. 'Beth, I just wanted to say that Jack hasn't arrived yet and the police are leaving if he doesn't turn up within ten minutes. I didn't want to tell you this in front of Joe just in case you didn't want him to know.' Zoe explained to me.

'Okay thanks Zoe.' I said trying to hide my fear. If he's coming around he better before the police leave. I walked back in a sat with Joe, Zoe joined us. We turn on the TV and began to watch a random movie.

As we started it I relised Casper wasn't here. 'Joe where's Casper?' I asked hoping he knew the answer.

'Oh he's at Myah's. Again.' Joe said smirking. We all cuddled up and watched the film.

By the time the movie had ended we where all asleep. Zoe fell asleep first then me and Joe must have not long after me. I looked at Joe. I was resting my head on his chest and it was surprisingly comfortable. I closed my eyes again and nodded off.

I woke up and looked at Joe. He was smiling at me. 'Morning sleepy head.' He said with his croaky morning voice. I loved his voice in the morning. I looked at the time, it was seven o'clock in the morning. We all slept on the sofa cuddled up for the whole night. I got up, stretched and jumped into the shower.

I sat down in between Joe and Zoe on the sofa. I had managed to carry my tea all the way up the stairs without spilling it. We started talking. Joe and Zoe have been acting weird around each other. I want to ask what's the matter but it's just nosey. I sure it's nothing. 'Hey Beth I'm going to the cinema today do you want to come along.' Zoe said asking me sounding very excited.

'Yes of course!' I answered sounding way to excited, 'As long as I'm not getting in the way.' I hope I'm not tagging along and getting in the way.

'No of course your not. Alfie is coming down for the rest of the time we are here so since he will be staying here I want you two to be friends.' Zoe said smirking.

'Oh I see invite YOUR boyfriend into MY house without asking.' I said trying to sound annoyed.

'Oh, urm I'm sorry he doesn't hav-'

'Zoe, I was joking.' I said laughing.

'Don't do that you scared me. I thought I had annoyed you then.' She said laughing with me. I looked at Joe who was smiling at me. I hope it isn't my fault that they've fallen out.

'Where leaving to meet Alfie in an hour.' Zoe said getting up. 'I'm having a shower.'

Once she had left the room it went silent. I looked at Joe again. 'I guess you don't have to worry about Jack any more.' Joe said.

'I hope so.' I said. He went to move then didn't. Then after is five second fight with himself he moved towards me. He kissed my cheeked and wispered in my ear. 'I'll help you out with Zalfie.'

He must have relised my confused face because he explained what he meant, 'They can enjoy each others company so much they forget about everyone else.'

'Ohhh okay.' I said. Even though Zoe won't want him there I will. I start laughing to myself.

'What's so funny?' Joe said looking very confused.

'I don't even know what film we're watching.' I said finding it funnier than it actually was.

'I think we're watching pitch perfect 2.' Joe said. Yes I wanted to see that it's suposed to be good. After talking to Joe for what felt like five minutes Zoe popped her head around the door and told us it was time to go. We had been talking for an hour! Wow time flys by when I'm with Joe.

Now let's meet Alfie.
