Chapter sixteen

Zoe let go of me and gasped. 'What the hell happened?' She said dragging me to hers and Alfie's blow up bed. I told her all about my morning. I still didn't know why or how I got the bruise but I have a feeling it was to do with Jack.

There was a knock at the door. 'Hey Beth can we talk?' It was Joe. I could hear sadness in his voice. I looked at Zoe for approval and she nodded. I hated what he did but I yet I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. I had just walked out and disappeared for a day the came back with a huge bruise on my cheeck and hadn't told him anything. I opened the door and he was standing there in a suit.

'Beth I wanted to say sorry so I've booked something fun. Do you want to go?' Joe said fiddling with his fingers. He was so cute was he was nervous.

'Yeah.' I sighed.

'Brilliant,' Joe said suddenly becoming excited. 'You can wear nice clothes out but have a change of clothes. Something like jeans and a t - shirt.' He ran into the front from and shouted 'She said she would go.' I heard Rhyanna shush him whilst giggling at his entrance to the room.

I ran upstairs and got changed into something nice. I then put jeans and a t-shirt into a bag. I wonder what we're doing.

Rhyanna and Olivia sat in the front and me and Joe sat in the back. 'Oh I don't think Joe told you but we're going to. Like we would miss out on this.' Rhyanna said nudging Olivia.

'Don't do that I'm driving.' Olivia whined which made her and Rhyanna laugh. I looked at Joe and smiled. I loved these little moments with Joe even if I was still annoyed at him.

'Well I'm not looking forward to part of it.' Olivia said.

What did that mean? I guess I had to wait to find out.

'Almost there.' Olivia said breaking mine and Joe's laughter. Joe looked at me. There was a mixture of excitement and fear in his eyes. He bounces up and down in his seat like a little kid on there way to a party.
'I hope you like it.' He said and stopped bouncing.

'So do I.' I said making them all laugh. I couldn't wait to find out what I was doing.

The closer we got the more curious I got. The tension was killing me, I needed to know what we where doing. And where we where going.

'WE HERE!' Olivia shouted quickly, deafening us.

'Ouch I do need my ears thank you very much.' Rhyanna said looking at Olivia. I took off my seat belt to look were we where. It was in the middle of nowhere. I looked at Joe confused. He laughed and told me to be patient.

As soon as the car stopped I lept out to examine the area. I looked at a sign in the distance. I couldn't read it but we began to walk towards it. As we got close enough to read what it said Joe put something over my eyes.

'What the hell Joe.' I said trying to take it off but Joe stopped me.

'No,' Joe whined 'You'll ruin the surprise.' I stopped trying to take it of and went along with it. I heard someone ask for money and Joe hand it over. We stepped into something and it began to move.

'What the...freak am I in.' I asked holding onto Joe.

He laughed at me. 'Calm down, it's just a lift.' He told me. Why where we going up in a lift. I was so confused.

I stopped and we stepped out. 'Take it off.' Joe said. I took it off and Joe was standing in front of me smerking. He stepped to the side and reveled nothing but a ledge with a man with rope and clips.

I looked at Joe. 'We're bungee jumping!' Joe said smiling.

'Now you know why we weren't excited for this bit.' Olivia said grabbing hold of the rails. Joe took my hand and pulled me toward the man. 'We're going first.' He said as the man clipped us in and double checked everything.

'Go when your ready' the man said. I looked at Joe. We where strapped together and he hugged into me.

'Here goes nothing.' he said before jumping. I felt my body move but I left my guts back up at the platform. I hid into Joe's neck waiting for it to end. I felt us spring up and go back down again a few times before being helped off. A man took us back to land and took his boat out again waiting for Rhyanna and Olivia.

'I'm surprised you didn't scream.' Joe said looking at me.

'I'm just to brave.' I said still shaking. Joe laughed and I joined in. I looked back over at the ledge and Rhyanna and Olivia where being clipped in.

'I have to see this.' I said to Joe.

'Me too.' Joe said.

They pause for a second and then jumped. They both screamed and it began to echo through the trees. I laughed as they continued to scream. They slowly got quite as the bounces stop. They where on clipped and they where coming towards me and Joe. They got out of the boat and colapsed on the floor.

'This better work,' Rhyanna said to Joe 'else I'm going to kill you...Both.' me and Joe laughed.

'Never again.' Olivia said as her and Rhyanna stood up. They where shaking just like me.

'Let's go.' Olivia said pointing toward the car park.

'What's happening next.' I asked Joe, hugging his arm.

He tapped his nose. I wish they would just tell me before taking me places.

But what could we possibly be doing next?
