I took a deep breath and explained everything that me, Cirrus and Mountain talked about. He breathed out another sigh of relief, this one more audible. Aether paced around the clearing, his body language telling me that he was stressed. He rambled on, talking about how 'the plan could've been foiled' and about how 'Imperator would throw a hissy fit'. Who or what the fuck is an Imperator? And what plan? There's a plan

Rain and Mountain took their hands off Dew's small framed body, and under the weight of his own body he slouched. Did the creatures have some sort of calming powers? Well I'd assume so, since Rain practically tamed Dew.

His once wild scarlet eyes had now softened, and his eyelids seemed particularly heavy. But still, something feral, more primal, lurked in his red pools. As we locked eyes, we both realized no one was watching us. My eyes widened in fear, and his suddenly became more sinister. A slow grin played on his lips.

Fuck.

In mere seconds he was already sprinting my way, and by the time Rain turned around to see the commotion, Dew was too close.

The creature named Dew had latched onto me, and very desperately was trying to claw me, or bite me or something. Something that would do lots of harm in the least amount of time. I scrambled away from him, kicking him in the jaw in the process. He froze for a moment, reaching a hand up to his face to feel where he'd been kicked. "Dew!" I could hear Aether screech urgently. He didn't turn to face his friend. He continued to pursue his prey mindlessly. The others couldn't reach us fast enough before very sharp teeth bit into flesh. I could feel exactly how his sharp canines dug in first, and then his duller teeth, that humans have. The duller teeth hurt more. I wailed, both in pain and in fear. I laid back on the cool summer grass, and accepted the fact that I may die tonight.

Aether, in pure desperation, grabbed Dew and pulled him back and away from me. The way Dew's teeth were violently ripped out of my leg made things worse, as I was sure that the wound had gotten worse. The tears streamed endlessly down my face, eyes closed in fear. I felt as blood seeped down my leg and dripped into the grass. "Fuck!" A voice exclaimed. I couldn't tell who the voice belonged to, as my mind became hazy from the pain. The more prominent throbbing in my leg distracted me from my surroundings. "What do we do?" One of them called out frantically. "We obviously can't send her back to that wretched school, 'lest the plan be ruined," The voice I recognized as Mountain's spoke, eerily calm in this stupid situation. "We can't let her die! Without her, the plan is as good as destroyed Mountain!" The unfamiliar male cried out. I foolishly realized that the unfamiliar male voice must've been Rain's. Yeesh. I'd forgotten how hard it is to think sensibly with brain fog as thick as this clouding my mind. I heard someone take in a shaky breath. "Do your thing Rain," Aether commanded, although now his tone was softer, less firm.

In moments I felt soft hands, but calloused fingertips interlock with my hand. I could feel as pulses of unique energy entered my body, stemming from the man- creature I knew as Rain. The energy felt warm and comforting, and my nerves were strangely calmed. There was no more distress, just calm.

I felt another hand, this one larger, and placed on my shoulder. I could still feel the pain in my leg, but I couldn't react.

I felt weird things that I could barely question in my own mind, as all thoughts began to slow down. My whole body relaxed, and I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding in an oddly content sigh.

"The only choice we have is to take her to the Ministry. If we leave her here to die then the plan is down the drain and Imperator will blame Dew. Who knows what shit she'll do to him next if she finds out about this. If we help her temporarily here and send her back, the school will find out. If she couldn't hide her secret about the forest from her best friends, she can't hide a physical wound from a whole school board."
