Zephyrus's POV

I watched as Dew curled up on the couch parallel to mine. My eyebrows knitted in fear, as I brought my knees up to my chest in a defensive manner. Cirrus, who had stayed with me when the others went to go retrieve Dew, placed a hand protectively on the back of his head and rubbing it soothingly. The golden eyed creature named Swiss sat down on the couch, Theo quickly collapsing into him.  Aether slowly lowered himself onto the floor right by the couch, resting his head on Dew's semi-curled up legs. Mountain had just started to sit down, when he froze. "I'll go get Rain," He mumbled, leaving the room.

We sat in the lounge for a while, probably a couple of hours. The room would've been completely silent, if there hadn't been the occasional whimpers and gentle weeping. I didn't question it, as I was the guest in this situation. It was absolutely not my place to ask any questions, especially not with the states the creatures seemed to be in.

"I'm so angry, Swiss," I heard Theo murmur in-between suppressed sobs. Swiss rubbed comforting circles on his back, holding him close. "I know, I know, but we have to hold it together okay?" He said, canines shining and golden eyes looking down at Theo with such care, such love

If only Kiriel would look at me that way. My heart ached, as I watched the two interact. "How can I?" Theo's frail voice shattered as he looked up at Swiss. "How can I not tear up the world? How can I restrain myself from destroying everything, knowing what she did to him?" Theo hiccuped. Who was he talking about?

"It's hard. I know. It'll only fuel the fire more. Hate breeds hate, and you know that," He stated wisely, a sad smile present on his lips. Theo sighed sadly, nestling further into his warmth. Mountain came back into the room alongside Rain. Rain sat beside Aether on the floor, holding hands with Dew, their fingers interlocked.

"I hate to interrupt whatever this is, but when do I get to go back?" I asked warily. I barely saw Swiss's frown from under his silver mask, as his golden gaze narrowed at me. "You get to go back when we take you back," He snapped, casting an unhappy look my way.
