I awoke, to the faint sound of birds chirping on the other side of the window in our dorm. Carefully, I sat up in my bed, taking care to not wake Kiriel. A heavy sigh escaped my mouth as I rubbed my eyes. It was definitely too early for this, and it didn't help that I wasn't a morning person.

I grabbed my notebook from my bedside table, and quietly ripped out a page, grabbing my magic quill and beginning to write out my note.

I'm out on a long shopping trip, I won't be back until around 4-5 PM. I prepared the kettle for you in case you want tea. Don't be alarmed that I packed bags and various things, I'm not running away, don't worry.

Yours truly,

Zephyrus

When I had finished the note with my fancy signature I'd spend years working on, I put the note on her bedside table. I dug through our closet silently, picking out a warm sweater and coat, and then went to the common room. I grabbed my bag, and started to gather my snacks and drinks. And finally, I put my notebook in. I sighed, taking a final glance at our shared bedroom.

I turned and left as quickly as I'd arrived here on my first day at Seaford. Like how quick summer arrives and the next time you blink it's already autumn. I sneaked through the hallways, being careful to not see any early-risers in the school. As I skipped down the stairs that led to the doors, which in turn led to the outside world.

My hands rested on the handle to the doors. Everything in my body tensed, and the hair on the back of my neck raised. I'm not alone. I took a deep breath, and accepted the fact that I'd been caught. Slowly, I turned to face whoever had caught me in the act. The first thing I recognized about him were his dark brown orbs, staring at me in amusement.

Oh fuck.

I'm so stupid.
