As the next month passed Niki watched her brother come more and more out of the shell he once surrounded himself with. Though her worst fears had been realised with Tommy joining the Agency, she couldn't deny watching Tommy bloom into his true self around people who understood was the best thing that ever happened to him. Eret and Foolish had been more than wonderful to her brother, answering every one of his million questions while gently guiding him forward.

When the change of Council members was announced no one was surprised, Dream, George and Sapnap had all lost the Ambassador position and were being punished under the jurisdiction of the Agency. Frankly, if Niki ever saw them again it would be too soon. Foolish and Eret were shocked when they were brought up as consideration then voted in, a medium joining them that had been found from within the Agency everyone only spoke well of.

Ponk was a mischievous one but Eret and Foolish both spoke very highly of them, planning outings with them and Tommy to help teach him more about controlling his medium abilities. Niki couldn't be more proud of her baby brother, seeing the sheer joy everyday they walked into the office.

Since things had begun to calm down at the Agency Tommy begged them all to plan a get together with everyone to celebrate the new Council members. By them all, he meant the ghosts and cryptid Niki had since met as well as his teachers and Phil, Kristin and Techno. Possibly Sam, Tina and Ponk too. She wasn't sure how to feel about them at first but Wilbur, Tubbo and Ranboo were kind souls,\; Tommy smiled so much more with them around.

She had met them after Tommy took Wilbur back to speak with his parents, finally able to give them a measure of peace about his demise. Turns out that was also what he needed to do to accomplish his last wishes but he chose to stay on this plane for a while. Niki had worried about that choice until Eret had assured her the only consequence that brought Tommy could resolve. Wilbur could now choose to move on whenever he wanted but he chose to stay with Tommy and his family for a while longer. Tommy visited Wilbur and Foolish's parents often, lending Wilbur his strength to speak to his family.

Niki felt a bit jealous of just how quickly Tommy and Wilbur had grown close, but she was very happy to see him thriving. Part of her missed having her brother all to herself but watching the smiles he held was worth any emotion in the world.

Ranboo took a bit to warm up to her but she finally got through to the shy cryptid, offering them baking and kind words. Between shifts at work they all grew closer as a group, Tubbo able to leave his gardens as long as he stuck close to Tommy. Niki liked the excitable ghost too, he had done wonders for Tommy's confidence in being a medium. As he had been around a while Tommy could ask him tons of questions about being a ghost, the teenager was thorough with his explanations.

A natural chemistry was formed between the whole group, suddenly both Niki and Tommy found themselves texting their new friends daily. A social night was planned between all of them, a meteor shower was supposed to happen and they were all going to gather up to watch it plus celebrate the changes to the Agency.

Quickly that night arrived, Niki frantically digging through their cupboards and closets for the thick picnic blanket she swore she had. Foolish had offered to pick them up so Niki had also packed wine, planning to share some with the group who were the appropriate age and packed non alcoholic ciders for her brother. Brother and sister were both nervous, yes they had spent time around all of these people but never all together in such a big group.

Tommy joined his sister in the kitchen, sitting on one of the breakfast bar stools as she searched the pantry, the last place it could be. Letting out a cry of triumph, she holds it up to show her blonde brother who smirks.

"Sis, we have to be at the door within the next five minutes, is that the last thing we need?"

"Should be." Her eyes trail across the counter with the bag of food and drinks resting on top, technically it's illegal to drink in public but they planned to be discreet and Sam promised he knew someone at the local police force he could speak with if they got caught. Each person would only have one and she also brought soft drinks if they didn't want to drink.
