After weeks of relative peace, Arin Blackwood finally decided to embark on the Devil Helmet Quest. He gathered his friends, Faelwen Nightshade, Elara Winterheart, Jorick Stonebloom, Drogan Frostfang, and Zephyr Stormborn to discuss the plan.

"I know we have been preparing for the Orc hoard, but we also need to upgrade our gear. The Devil Helmet would be a great addition to our arsenal," Arin said, looking around at his friends. "Who's with me?"

"I'll join you," Faelwen said, twirling an arrow in her hand. "I could use a new challenge."

Elara nodded, "Count me in. I can make some Avalanche runes to help clear out any enemies in our path."

"I'm in," Jorick added, adjusting his backpack. "I've never been on a quest before."

"I'm in too," Zephyr said, grinning. "I've been itching to test out some new runes I've been working on."

Drogan remained silent for a moment, considering the proposal. "I think it's worth a shot. We could use some better gear, and it's not like the Orcs are going to attack while we're gone."

"Then it's settled," Arin said, smiling. "Let's head out."

The group gathered their supplies and headed out of Thais' north gate. They walked through the surrounding forest until they reached an ancient temple said to hold the Devil Helmet. As they approached the entrance, Arin paused.

"Be on your guard," he said, drawing his sword. "There may be traps and enemies inside."

The group nodded, and Elara began to chant, creating several Avalanche runes. With a deep breath, they entered the temple, ready for whatever lay ahead.

The team made their way through the dark, mysterious rooms, being cautious of any traps or creatures that might be lurking around the corners. Arin led the way, his sword at the ready, while Faelwen followed closely behind with her bow drawn.

Elara and Jorick were preparing runes as they walked, ensuring that they would be ready for any battles that lay ahead. Drogan kept watch, his keen senses alert for any signs of danger.

After going down two floors, they came to a dark hallway. Arin looked at his notes and knew they had to take the north path, but he couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched.

"Be on your guard, everyone," he whispered. "I have a feeling that we're not alone down here."

They continued north, their footsteps echoing through the halls. They came to a walkway, the rotworm pit below clearly visible. Arin knew this was the first challenge of the quest, as they followed the walkway further north. Elara yelled, "look, a ladder." Suddenly, they heard a rustling noise up ahead. Faelwen raised her bow and aimed it in the direction of the noise.

As they moved closer, the rotworms emerged from the shadows, their slimy, writhing bodies towering over the party. Arin unsheathed his sword, and Elara prepared her ice magic. Faelwen let an arrow fly, striking the first rotworm in the head. The creature writhed in agony before collapsing onto the ground.

The remaining rotworms charged forward, their jaws snapping in anticipation of their next meal. Drogan summoned a swarm of insects to distract the worms while Jorick used his earth magic to create a wall of stone to block their path. Arin and Faelwen took advantage of the momentary distraction and charged forward, cutting through the rotworms with their swords and arrows.

However, the creatures were not easily defeated, and Jorick found himself surrounded. One of the rotworms lunged forward, sinking its teeth into Jorick's leg. He cried out in pain as Drogan rushed to his side, channeling his healing magic to close the wound.
