Noah Pov

Waking up today was the hardest thing I'd ever done; spending the night with yet another hook-up wasn't exactly the smartest, I'll admit. I didn't get home until about four in the morning and had to sneak in the back door. I vividly remember smacking my head into the doorframe because I was so shitfaced. I looked down at myself, noting how ruined all my clothes were and how fucking disgusting I smelled.

I rolled out of bed, the stench of last night's events leaching onto my clean sheets, karma for thinking with my dick. I dragged myself into the shower, taking a few minutes too long. I barely had enough time to throw on a hoodie and some jeans, reluctantly grabbing my things before going downstairs. As I made my way to the car, I felt like someone was staring at me but I was already late as is, unable to bring myself to look.

I swear Chad has a tracker on me because the second I parked my car his golden hair comes into view. The energetic bastard kept me out all night, taking me to some party just to abandon me for a group of girls. I somewhat remember meeting a redhead after and leaving with her, a lot drunker than I should've been.

"Noah! Get your fat ass out of there!" He screamed, hitting my window as he continued his charades.

"I'm out, I'm out! You don't have to yell; I've got a fucking migraine," I couldn't help but smile as he pouted at me like a little puppy.

"You're later than usual," He leaned against my car, folding his arms.

"I didn't get home until four. You're lucky I'm here at all," I fluffed up his hair, annoying him.

"Fuck off," He swatted my hands away, brushing his hair back into place, "And don't tell Eliza about that."

    "Why?"

"I told her that I wouldn't keep you out too late. You know, 'healthily getting over exes' and all of her spiritual crap."

    "Asshole."

"Yeah, whatever; I heard a new girl is just transferred. You think she'll be hot?"

"I don't really care," We began walking into school.

"What if she's hotter than Maple?"

"Dude, stop bringing her up. We ended things," I pushed my hair back, the bright school lights doing nothing to aid my growing headache.

"Technically she ended things, plus you guys have broken up like a hundred times and gotten back together another hundred. Get over her, seriously, she sucks. I don't even know what you saw in her; She's a bitch."

"Since when were you such a Maple hater? You were the one that said I should get with her."

"First of all, I meant you should fuck her not date her. Second, that was before I figured out she was such a cunt-" He cut himself off, focusing on something else, "Speak of the devil herself."

I turned to see Maple and her friends gossiping, sharing glances with each other before looking at me. I don't see the point in trying to stop her endless shit-talking; I know damn well she'll be begging me to come over in a few days yet again. It's just her cycle. I know how that sounds but she was the one that ended things. She asked me out, wanted me first, constantly argued with me, then dumped me to fuck some other guy just to turn around and come crawling back.

Chad and I went to class and sat down before Ms. Robinson started her boring announcements. My eyes began to feel heavy, the weight of them far too much to bear. I probably fell asleep for a few minutes before Chad began bugging me.
