Noah's POV

I don't think I've ever slept as well as I did that night. Her taste was still faintly on my tongue, laced into my tastebuds. Celine's body cuddled up to mine, her scent embedding itself into my bed, her soft, long, black locks spread out over my pillows. I carefully slid out of bed, looking back at her slumped figure. Her shirt was hiked up as she laid on her back, her neck exposed, and last night's marks on display. I began to kiss her face, gingerly pecking her forehead, then her nose, and finally her lips. I couldn't bite back my smile as it stretched over my face; she was changing me.

I'd never been so attached to a girl, never so weak for one either. Celine clouded my every thought, impacted every decision, haunted every dream, and had me wrapped around her finger. Yet, I couldn't say the same for her. This mystery man ruined any and every chance I had with her, leaving me pining after someone who wants him.

I hate him. I absolutely hate how he has her attention and heart. I hated how even though he has everything I want I still didn't know who he was. She's fucking perfect and yet, wants someone who couldn't even notice her.

I took a quick shower and headed downstairs, leaving Celine resting. I ran downstairs, finding my dad on the couch with an older dude sitting next to him. He had white full hair but a black, trimmed beard, keeping his look clean and simple.

    "Dad?" I caught his attention.

"Ah, this is Noah. Noah, this is Celine's father, Theodore Allaire," Fancy name.

"Please, just call me Theo," He stood up pulling me into a tight embrace, "Thank you so much for finding my daughter, thank you, thank you."

"Of course, the pleasure's all mine," I patted his back, realizing her mom was nowhere to be found.

"Noah, did Celine tell you why she was on Hiltons?" My dad interrupted.

"Yeah, she said that some guy chased her away from her house and she reached the woods, then got lost," I watched as the two of their faces grimaced.

    "Did he..?" Theo's voice wavered.

"She lost him when she reached the woods. Celine's okay."

    "Where is she?"

"She's still sleeping in my room. I can go wake her up if you'd like?" I didn't fail to notice how his expression changed when I mentioned my room.

"Ah, no. She must be tired. I'll go update her mother; please tell Celine to come home as soon as possible," He began walking to the door, "Again, thank you. Hyeong, we play chess tomorrow, yes?"

My dad nodded and I watched as Theo left, the door clicking shut.

"She slept in your room?" He crossed his arms, mirroring my mom's classic expression.

"Yeah," I walked to the kitchen, still listening to my dad.

    "And where did you sleep?"

    "..."

    "Noah."

"We shared my bed, nothing happened."

"Really? With the way you two are always gawking at each other, it makes that really hard to believe. You do realize your mom and I were 18, too, right?"

"We do not gawk. We're just friends, dad. All we did was sleep, nothing else."

"Morning," My dad was about to retaliate before Celine interrupted, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
