Chapter 2 : Fear it or Control it

Raven's pov

- Where the hell is she? - I asked and turned to Jane - We have to find her before she harms someone!

She nodded and just in a few seconds as she lifted her hand up a purple light appeared and she vanished into thin air. I also gathered all my power just in case something happened to Lilith. I didn't want to use too much of my energy by teleporting so instead I used super speed. I ran while following her scent through the forest, until it led me to a lake. I quickly looked around and I saw her laying on the ground with her legs being under the water.

I ran and kneeled down by her side. She was almost unconscious and her heartbeat was slower than before. I gently picked her up and whispered in her ear - Hold on Lilith, just hold on until we get back..

She didn't say anything, she just nodded and closed her eyes. I had enough power to teleport both of us back to my room. I put her down on the couch that was beside my door and I started healing her skin. She got burned by the sun again, but this time it was less severe. I went out to the bathroom to get her some of the medicine that I got from Jane. Also, I quickly informed Jane through our mind link that I found and took care of our little troublemaker.
When I went back to my room she was fully awake and she was trying to sit up.

- You should lay back. You still need to rest and let your vampire genetics heal you. - I said as I approached her.

- My what? - she asked, confused.

- Your vampire genetics. You know, since you were turned you got vampire genetics in your body that are slowly kicking in. They don't do much though, by this I mean in the first days they are healing you and making you stronger but nothing else yet.

- What will they do later? - she asked and I could tell she was nervous about the answer.

- I will tell you after you let me know why did you try to run away.

- Oh.. um.. I don't know...

- You don't know? - I asked and raised my eyebrows

- I really don't..it was as if my body was controlled by someone else, I just heard something and then started running...

- Something like what? What did you hear?

- Maybe some kind of animal, but I'm not sure. I couldn't find it and I have no idea why I was even chasing it..

- I see. That was because your vampire sense's are starting to take control. I thought we would still have some time before that happens, but I guess you were turned sooner than I thought..

- Why do you think so? - she asked with curiosity in her voice but it quickly changed to sadness as she continued - I don't understand.. I don't know anything. Jane told me some things about how my body will change and how I...I was turned.. but I don't know anything about this.. I don't even know myself anymore..- she said and I could see a few tears escaping her eyes which made my heart ache as well.

- I know this is a completely new world for you and it's terrifying. I know you're still scared of us and even of yourself and of what you are capable of doing. I know it's overwhelming and scary and I know it's hard to process all of this. You're probably still praying that this is just a dream and you will wake up, but unfortunately it's not. It will take some time to get used to this new life and it's going to be hard, but I will help you through it.

- Why?

- Because I know that without my help you would be dead in no time and I will not allow another life to end because of someone else's mistake.

- Who's mistake?

- The one's who attacked you.
