Raven's pov
Just as I was about to speak up, the loud noise of knocking on the front door broke the silence of the room and someone kicked the doors open. Everyone looked shocked as we turned to the door and we saw a dark shadow appearing under the door frame, then we saw him...
- Radu? - spoke Lilith, for the first time in the court room, but as she heard her voice, the realization of her saying it out loud hit her and she went quiet again. Then Lucius spoke up.
- How dare you kick our doors open and interrupt our trial?! You can't just barge in here like a maniac! For your own good, I hope that you have a compelling reason to disrupt the trial, son.
- With all due respect father, I do.
- Let us hear it then. - said Menaham and all the leaders turned to face Radu. Then Lucius nod his head as a signal for Radu to continue.
- I came here as soon as I learned that you held Lilith's trial today. I suggest myself to be one of her mentors and I would take responsibility for her as well.
- In what way would that favor you? - asked Lucius.
- I have an interest in her special abilities. I see her potential and I would like to help with her training. She's a quite special little creature in my eyes..
- I see.. - said Lucius.
- What are your thoughts Raven? Would you like to accept Radu's offer? - asked Cassius, an other leader, as he turned to face me. I turned to look at Lilith and I could tell that she wanted me to say yes, and I was also curious about Radu's sudden interest in her so I said yes.
- Yes, I accept his help your honor.
- Splendid. Do we have any other concerns that we have to take into consideration before the end of the trial?- he asked the other leaders.
- That was all that we needed to discuss , we can end it here if no one has anything else to ask or share. - said Menaham and everyone maintained quiet, therefore the trial ended there. We walked out of the trial room and Radu walked with us.
- What's your plan Radu? - asked Jane, breaking the silence.
- What do you mean my dear? Why would I have anything planned out?
- Don't you dare to act all innocent, I know you Radu. You do not like taking responsibilities and helping others, unless you get something in return.
- I get a chance to learn more about Lilith and her powers, that is what I get in return for my help. - he answered and smiled at Lilith.
- Why are you so interested in her? You know nothing about her, yet you are ready to take responsibility for her. We have a reason to be suspicious. - I said.
- I understand your concerns my friend, but I assure you I do not have any bad intentions. I'm just curious about our new friend and I would like to know more about this beautiful creature. - he answered, then he stepped closer to Lilith and took her hand in his.
- What's troubling you my darling? Why are you remaining silent? - he asked.
- I- I just don't know what to say and I'm comfortable being silent. - she answered, surprisingly looking up to his eyes. I thought she would be too nervous to keep eye contact, but she did.
- I understand my dearest, but I would like to hear your sweet voice a bit more. How else will I learn about you? - he asked in a voice that was sweet like honey and gentle, which was in a way I have never heard him speak before.
- You want to know more about me? - she asked in a low voice with confusion written over her face.
- Of course I want to know more about you my dear. You are something different, something I have never seen before and I'm quite interested in solving the mystery of you. - he said while lifting her chin and leaning closer to her.
