Sangyeon POV
it's 3 am and i couldn't even sleep.

my thoughts are filled with yeonju. after chanhee and changmin, and even hyunjae explained to me about the situation with yeonju and younghoon. all i could worry about is how scared yeonju must have been.

i kept trying to reach to yeonju by calling, but it didn't reach to her. i tried to contact to younghoon too, but he rejected the call.

my phone buzzed and i picked it up.

the notif on my home screen made me widened my eyes. 'younghoon has sent you a video' i gulped, video? i clicked the notif and clicked in the video.

yeonju... is on my screen.

"sangyeon... you never thought the video younghoon sent, will be from me right? haha, i never thought i would be asking younghoon to send you a video message too actually..." i looked at her with worried gaze, something doesn't sound right about her tone.

"im sorry for leaving you unnoticed. you must've thought that im running away or im leaving you... even though i am." she whispered the last part but i caught it. what does she mean...?

"remember when you say i can only date you if i remember our first meet? im going to remember it, and come back to you. you have to wait for me okay? but don't wait for me too long sangyeon... if i don't come back in a month, then forget me, forever, move on from me and date a new girl. find someone better than me, who can take care of you..." tears rolling down from my eyes as i shook my head.

you don't have to remember now, don't go for the surgery, please come back instead...

"actually, never mind... don't even wait for me sangyeon. the surgery has very low chance of me to actually remember back everything. i don't think im making it. and since my brother sends this video to you... then it means that... i did not make it."

i sobbed so hard. i let out all my emotions and cried in my room. how can she leave me just like this... yeonju, you can't let me fall for you and leave me like this. how could you...

"sangyeon ah..."

i quickly wiped my tears and looked at her, muttering a soft "yes" even though she can't hear me.

"i saw a shooting star earlier, and i wished something for you. i know if wishes are told, they won't work, but i still wanna let you know. because it will work, it must work. so, promise me to be happy without me, hmm? forget me, and be happy with whoever you're gonna be with, that's my wish for you."

i shook my head, "don't go... don't leave me yeonju please..."

younghoon said he couldn't come back to china because his 'parents' asked him to stay there for studies.

he told us that the 'parents' are actually not their biological parents. and the second reason of them going to china (first reason is for yeonju's surgery) is to meet their biological parents, they're in china.

he said that the 'parents' pressured yeonju to do the surgery and pressured them to go to china was because their biological parents wanted them back, in the original state.

they wanted to cover the fact that yeonju lost her memories from a serious accident and so they brought her to china for the surgery. even if she didn't make it at the end...

hyunjae is in my room now. he insisted to stay, giving the excuse of school work and well actually, he's here to be nosy (and caring).

"are you really okay?", he asked.

"lee jaehyun, this is the 197302th time you've asked me. i said, i am okay.", i replied, while rolling my eyes playfully.

"well... i thought that because you like her a lot, so you would be moving on, slower." he said. i mean, he's true though... im not really okay.

"what can i do...? she asked me to forget her and move on. even if i don't want to, she said... she made it as a wish when she saw a shooting star. i just have to play along with her for now, until... her wish actually come true. don't i?", i said with a weak smile.

he patted my back as comfort, "you will be able to move on soon, i promise."

i sighed, "right after she said that, i couldn't continue watch the video that i stopped it." he asked me, "and you haven't finish the video message yet, still?" i nodded.

"it's been three months sangyeon!"

"i know...! i just can't.. i don't think i can even forget her at this point. i don't even wanna finish the video because i don't want to fulfill the last wish to forget her. she told me to wait for her for a month, before she change her mind and tell me to fully forget her...", another sigh escaped my mouth.

"you should finish the video, sang. it's her wish, it's the last thing we can do for her. that way, you will be able to move on from her.", he said.

i looked at him and smiled, "i should finish watching it... right?" he nodded and rubbed my back as he answered, "yeah..."

at night, i picked up all my courage to continue watching the video.

i played the part where she smiled and started singing, softly.

i cried and whispered, "you're not here to open a new chapter for the story of us... our story has already ended..."

"sorry for being selfish but... i actually wanted to sing this song to you when i get to confess to you..." i let out a sigh, no... please.

"i remember my first memory with you was the acting scene where i confess to you and get rejected... this time im gonna confess again, and how much i wish you can reject me again, then at least i wouldve thought we are acting in a movie. but... it's real. everything is real..." i sobbed louder as realisation hits me.

she gets to tell me that she likes me, even if it was acting, but i didn't get to...

"before i end this video message, im gonna be selfish for the one last time and tell you that..."

"lee sangyeon, i like you."

for once (or is this the second time), i wrote a book with a sad ending. the story quality is super bad because ive dragged this storyline for a year n even left it undeveloped for such a long time. im sincerely sorry for everyone who's been waiting for this story, but to get it today (waiting too long) & low quality.
at the very least, i hope u all liked it :)
