It had been almost two weeks since Desha had told James about her infidelity and almost two weeks since he packed some of his clothes and left to stay at one of the Ashton properties in Northbridge. The Ashton household felt empty without James, it felt incomplete, no it was indeed incomplete without him there.
8 pm
It was a quiet night in the Ashton household. Little Arya was sleeping quietly in her room, being tucked in just an hour before by Desha. It hadn't been easy getting her down to sleep but Desha was grateful to have Zack there with her to help. Zack had stayed a couple of nights with Desha due to James not being there and still avoiding having a talk with his Wife. Zack was doing everything in his power to get his friend's mind off of it and create a positive space for her to cope with everything that has been happening. Desha was truly grateful for Zack, he's always been there when she needed him and vice versa. He has been there for her as a hype man, a shoulder to cry on, someone there to dish out good advice and give her constructive criticism , and even when she needed someone to bring her back to reality when she is quote on quote being "delusional". He was there for it all, her platonic soulmate, she truly cherished the relationship that they built.
Sitting in the movie room with Zack, Desha drowned out the movie that Zack had picked out instead her focus was on her phone. She was scrolling mindlessly through instagram when suddenly she noticed her instagram notification numbers going up with comments and mentions. She clicked the notifications tab on the upper right hand corner confused about what was going on.
Once she clicks on the tab there's a post from a gossip blog where she is getting a bunch of mentions tagging her name in said post. In the post there's a screenshot from Antwoine, James' cousin's instagram page of a picture of James on his phone hanging with his cousin.. But that's not why the gossip page posted it, no, it was the fact that James wasn't wearing his wedding ring.

Zack looks from the screen to Desha confused at the sudden outburst from his best friend
"What? You don't like Channing Tatum?"
Desha ignores the comment that Zack made and zooms in on the picture that the gossip page posted. And they were correct, the ring that was supposed to be on James' finger was not there. This immediately changes Desha's mood, was this another way of his trying to get back at her? Knowing that he was out with Antwoine AND no ring on his finger made Desha feel a way and it wasn't a great feeling.
Zack notices how quiet Desha has gotten, he looks over and sees the look on her face. Zack starts to ask her if everything is ok but is cut off by Desha passing her phone to him. Zack grabs it and looks at what she was seeing. He doesn't say anything at first, just staring at the screen, not really sure what he should say, what he could say to justify this.
