DRDT CHPT 2 EP 6 SPOILERS!!
An AU where Ace was successfully murdered.

"Rise and shine, everyone! It is now 8am. Get ready for a bright and chipper day!"

Levi yawned and slowly got up his bed, stretching his body. He paused.

"...Hm?"

He heard some commotion outside the door and decided to see what was going on.

"What do we do? What do we do? What do we do!?"

It was Eden, except she wasn't in her usual cheerful and friendly mood. In fact, she was panicking, waving her hands all over the place in distress. Teruko was next to her, looking unbothered as she always has ever since the class trial.

"Eden? Teruko? What's going on"

"Ah, Levi. Teruko and I were waiting for someone to get up. It's an emergency, a big one! It happened last night, but we didn't want to wake anyone up!"

Her voice started shrinking as tears grew from her eyes.

"What? Did something bad happen?"

"There's no time to discuss. Just come with us."

Teruko said. Levi gulped and followed the two ladies, who led him to the elevator.

"Ah, right. You don't want to be in an enclosed room with people, don't you?"

Eden asked Teruko. Levi looked at them, his heart beating faster and faster the more he has to wait.

"It's fine. If Levi wants to kill me, you'll be a witness. If you decide to kill me, Levi will be a witness. Hurry up, we have no time to waste. We need the body discovery announcement to go off as soon as possible."

Levi's heart dropped.

"...What? Body discovery announcement? Someone's dead?"

"Quick, get in the elevator."

Levi tried to stay calm, but his body was panicking on the inside. There's a dead body on the second floor? Who could it be? Levi took a deep breath and stepped in the elevator, and Eden pressed the button. Unfortunately, the elevator was slow, and they in a rush. Levi needed to see who was dead, immediately.

"Why did you wait for someone to wake up? You could've just yelled. Someone dying is way more important than someone's sleep."

"Well, I just didn't want to wake anyone up! Besides, Teruko said that it would be best for the body discovery announcement to go off. After all, we need three people to find the body, so I just thought we'd wait for someone to wake up. I stayed up all night, I couldn't sleep at all! Teruko slept, but she was the first to get up, and since we've already seen the body, we just had to wait for someone else to wake up and find it too."

Eden's eyes turned into a waterfall. The situation was overwhelming her.

"Well, who's body is it? Who's dead? Tell me."

"Well, you're about to find out."

Teruko replied, as elevator doors opened. She and Eden slowly walked out, but Levi ran.

"In the gym..."

Eden mumbled. Levi burst the door open.

*ding dong, bing bong*

"A body has been discovered! Everyone, please gather at the gym. Please investigate and the class trial will begin shortly!"

"...W-what?"

Words could not describe how shocked Levi was. Eden and Teruko stood by the door, and Levi rushed over to the jockey's dead body.

"Levi! What are you doing? You'll ruin the evidence!"

"It's okay Teruko, I mean, of course it's not okay! Ace is dead... but, we know who killed him, don't we?"

Levi turned back at Eden, holding Ace in his arms.

"...You know who killed him?"

"We can't be sure that Nico killed him. I mean, what if they just found Ace lying dead on the ground, picked up the wires, and then that's when we walked in the gym? That doesn't mean that they killed him."

Teruko responded.

"...Nico killed Ace?"

"But Teruko, Nico's behaviour... Isn't it obvious that they killed him?"

Teruko turned to Eden.

"Have you learnt nothing from the class trial!? Blaming Nico just because they had the murder weapon in their hands? That's exactly what everyone did to me. Look, there is obviously still a possibility that they are the culprit, but don't be so sure. Don't make the same mistake that you made last time."

Teruko's anger grew intense. She sighed and turned back to Levi, who was staring at her with disbelief.

"Teruko, calm down..."

Eden cried. More words came out of Teruko's mouth.

"And Levi, get up and stop destroying any evidence! *sigh* If only Rose was here. She would have been able to draw the crime scene before Levi ruined it. She has a photographic memory after all."

She pinched the bridge of her nose. Levi slowly put Ace back where he saw it and stood where Teruko and Eden were. All he could do is hopelessly stare at the corpse in despair. There, Levi heard voices in his head.

"Fuck. Off. Ace. How far do you want to push it? Do you really think I don't have a limit to my patience? I would gladly strangle you right here and now to shut you up if I were allowed. But if you're the coward I know you to be, then you should back up before you dig your own grave. So shut. Your mouth. Before I shut it for you."

It was the words Levi said to Ace in the class trial. Levi started losing all of his senses, except for his hearing sense. But all he could hear were the voices of him threatening to kill Ace. He didn't know what came in his body when he said those horrifying words to Ace. Obviously, he didn't actually want Ace to die, but...

Now, Ace really is dead. And there's nothing Levi can do about it.
