𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙏𝙃𝙍𝙀𝙀 [Lookism | OC × Eli Jang]

iv. rooftop

The girls had left her alone after the incident. They were scared of her now. No one dared to take a peek at her in class. Rumours must have started between the girls. They entirely ignored her.

And instead, they start to flock Eli more. They are now more protective of him, and started circling around him like a defense tower. The guy was too kind for his own good to reject their advances.

He kindly conversed with them, answering their questions and ignoring their flirting with a (troubled) smile. But Selina could feel that he was having problems rejecting them. He looked very tired and stuffy.

So she decided to be Peter Pan and whisk him away to her Neverland.

One day at lunch, she quickly took her prepared bento boxes and quickly pulled an unsuspecting Eli away for lunch before the girls could catch up to him. He was surprised and confused as Selina took his wrist and led the way. The girls had gasped and tried following them to the hallway, but they were already gone who knows where.

"Where are we going, Selina?" He asked curiously.

"My Neverland!" Selina grinned and opened the door to her space.

"This is the roof."

"No shit, Eli." Selina chuckled.

"I've never been here before." He admitted and looked around.

"...Technically you can't come up here." Selina said sheepishly, and pulled him to further walk in. "C'mon, I'll show you my usual spot!"

Selina walked to the middle of the roof, then quickly ran for momentum, propelling herself to jump while carrying her bento boxes. How she did it, it was a miracle. She landed on top of the staircase's roof. You couldn't really see anyone up there.

Selina smiled and motioned Eli to come over.

"Come on up! I need to run and jump since I'm shorter, but you're quite tall. I think you can just climb normally."

Eli nodded and did as she said with ease.

"Whoa, you're quite fast and strong. Never knew you had it in you!" She giggled.

"So this is where you always run up to at lunch..."

"It's a perfect place to think and chill. C'mon, sit down. I made some bento boxes!" Selina proudly showed him her bento boxes.

"You made them?" Eli's eyes widened in surprise as she gave one to him.

"Yep, I made one earlier today. That one's for you!"

Eli's heart warmed. He gave her a thankful smile. "Thanks... This means a lot."

"Eat up and tell me how it tastes!" She passed him a chopstick and a spoon.

Selina excitedly waited for Eli to taste her cooking. She saw him gulp the food, and his eyes widened.

"It's delicious!"

"Of course, silly." Selina giggled, "I'm the one that made them!"

The two laughed and ate their lunch. Eli gratefully savoured the food that Selina made.

"You know, the food and place is not the only thing that's good here." She drank some water.

"There's something else?" Eli blinked.

"Yep! The view!" Selina showed off the view with her hand. "You can almost see all of Seoul from here."

"Whoa." Eli muttered, in awe. Selina was right that the view was very good. But she must've exaggerated about seing the entireity of Seoul.

"What do you think?" She sighed, content. Eli looked at her putting a stray of her hair behind her ear. "Do you think it's pretty?"

His heart beat faster at her smile. It was warm, and made him feel happy.

"Yeah, it's pretty..." He said softly, smiling while looking at her honey golden eyes intently.

Selina's eyes widened and felt blood rush to her face.

"Don't say that while looking at me. Or I'll think it's about me!" Selina whined and shoved his arm. She was very embarrassed.

"What if I want you to?" He playfully smirked.

Selina's jaw dropped.

Damn. He's smooth.

But she can be smooth too.

"Then... Then I'll say, the sight that I'm seeing is pretty too," She said softly while looking at his eyes.

Eli's face reddened.

"...If that's what you really want to know." She tilted her head playfully and giggled.

Reverse UNO worked!

Serves you right for making her heart pound!

"I can be playful too if you want me to, Eli!" She chuckled. Eli rolled his eyes with an amused smile.

"Fine. You win for today."

The bell rang just in time.

"It's time to get back," She tidied up their finished bento boxes.

"You'll learn to not mess with me one day, Eli," She  grinned and jumped down from the roof.

"Last one to get to class get's Yenna forever!" Selina cackled and ran. Eli panicked and quickly jumped down before catching up with her to class.

In the end he won, and the two ended up laughing about it for the whole week.

"Yenna! You want to fly?"

"Ba!"

"Alright! Let's fly around! Weeee~~~" Selina picked Yenna up and walked around the playground, pretending she was a plane. Yenna was squealing from fun. After three laps, Selina put the little girl back down.

"Yenna~ You're so cute!" Selina squished her cheeks, making the child giggle. Yenna was once again at the daycare, running around her trying to her attention.

"I wish I could steal you away from Eli." Selina sighed and hugged the girl.

"You're not going to steal her away from me, Selina." Eli's amused chuckle was heard. He had finished his part time job and came to the daycare earlier.

He had watched as his lovely daughter was 'flying around' with Selina around the daycare. Yenna was touchy with Selina, always wanting the older girl to hug her or even kiss her. Eli found the sight heartwarming. At least Yenna had somebody that'll look after her even if he's not there.

"Wah! I'm caught red handed!" Selina held both hands up in the air like a culprit and pouted. "I'm sorry I can't take you home, Yenna. Your father won't let me!"

Yenna turned around and looked disappointedly at Eli.

"Ba!"

Eli just gave an amused chuckle, picking her up. "You still see her almost every day!"

"Ba~"

"She wants you to buy her that new toy." Selina whispered.

"How'd you know?" Eli asked. Selina and Yenna looked at each other and sniggered.

"It's a secret~" She chuckled.
