Jay, Cole, Jestro, Lance and Axl with their combat vehicles pulled up in front of the apartment block of Strickler, his fiancée and her son. The five men stepped out of their vehicles and looked at the large building with a white facade with some elements of black.
- It doesn't look that bad. I would even say... quite nice. - Lance said, nodding approvingly. - Admittedly, I've seen better houses, but....
- Let's go after them. - Cole interrupted the silver knight and entered the building. Jestro, Axl and Jay followed him. Lance snorted. - It's rude to interrupt.
All five entered the fourth floor and stopped in front of the door to the flat.
- It's right here. The address is right. - Jestro said, glancing at the address written on the small yellow card he held in his hand.
- Well, let's knock. - Jay shrugged his shoulders.
Cole took a deep breath and banged his fist on the door three times. There was an awkward silence for a moment and no one answered the knock on the door.
- What's up? Is no one home? - Axl asked.
- I think so, but where could they....? - Cole began, but suddenly the handle moved and after a moment the door opened. The heroes became animated and looked at the young boy with raven black hair and blue eyes who opened the door for them.
The boy looked at them surprised and furrowed his brows.
- Ninjas and knights? What can I help you with?
- Yes, you can. You're... Jim Lake, right? - Cole asked.
- Yes, I am. Any problem?
- Is your mother or guardian at home? Barbara Lake? - Jay continued and looked over the boy's shoulder.
Jim looked even more puzzled and there was worry in his eyes. - Ya? Is something wrong?
- We need to talk to her urgently. A matter of national importance. - Lance said. Jim swallowed slightly stressed, but nodded and muttered something under his breath, before swinging the door open more.
- Come in, please. Mum's in the kitchen.
