As Lily walked to the throne room where her mother is supposed to be, she felt growing fear and shame for her actions. After the incident in the Dark Woods, her parents kept their distance from their daughter, trying to think through what might have happened.
Lily is the only child of Aaron and (Y/N) and the only heir to the throne and heir to the Castle of the League of Heroes. It's not even about matters of heredity anymore, it's just that Lily is the apple of their eye, the great hope for a better future for the kingdoms, and all their love poured into the unity that has grown into the form of their child.
(Y/N) it still shakes them to their depths what would have happened if she and the others hadn't made it to that forest in time, and what would have happened if the Elm of the Dark Realm's process of taking life essence had succeeded.
They could lose her forever. The family would fall apart, hearts would break irreparably. There would be no hope for the future of the marriage (Y/N)'s and Aaron's and their love.

- Mom? - Lily's quiet voice snapped (Y/N) out of her reverie.
The woman was sitting on her throne with her eyes closed and her chin resting on her hand on the armrest. (T/N) opened her eyes and looked down to where Lily stood, looking awkwardly at her hands.
(Y/N) grunted and corrected her position on the throne and looked at her daughter with dead seriousness. She waited patiently for what she would say.
- Lily.
The ginger-haired girl looked up and shuddered at the expression of disappointment on her mother's face.
- I am cruelly disappointed in you, daughter.
Lily sighed quietly and looked down. - Yes, I know.
- You could have died there. You disregarded my prohibition, and worse, Eshter and Ernest could have died because of you. Do you realize what that could have threatened?
Lily bit her lip and tears appeared in her eyes.
- You put our entire alliance on the rampage. I hate to say it out loud, but we are all united not only by a family bond, but also by an international alliance. Vanya would never say it out loud, but.... She would go to war with us. Clay and Macy would have turned on us.... We would be left alone, do you understand? You put the future of our kingdoms on the line.
Lily pulled her nose and awkwardly tried to wipe away the tears of shame that ran down her cheeks. - I just... I wanted to show you that I'm as brave as you are.... I didn't mean to do anything wrong, I swear.
(Y/N) sighed and jumped space to Lily and knelt in front of her.
- I am brave when the situation calls for it. A brave ninja, Lily, doesn't put himself in danger without needing to. He doesn't show off the trait of courage that is in him.
- But you are never afraid. Dad even more so, I've never seen him with an expression of fear on his face.
