Chapter 2

3rd person POV

Hiccup flew down to the ground and climbed off Toothless' back and looked around. Crowds were gathering around him, and he recognised most of the faces. But they didn't recognise him. Good. That meant they could get in and get out with the dragons without any major issues. Let's just see how much pressure he could take.

"Dragon master" Hiccup heard the voice. That voice. The voice that hurt him the most back on Berk. The voice, of his father.
Hiccup coughed and half- splutterd before managing to make words come out of his mouth.
"Yes! That is I! I am definitely the dragon master and that is totally the only relation I have to you at all and we certainly have never met before!!"
Toothless rolled his eyes and got ready to leap into Hiccup's rescue. Luckily the vikings were too thick to undersatnd this.
"Okay then!" Stoik said loudly, "I want you to work with our finest dragon defence team!"
Stoik ushered the group forward. This is Snotlout, Fishlegs, the twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut, and of course, Astrid. Berks finest warrior, besides me of course."

Hiccup glanced at them through his mask. They hadn't changed that much if he was honest. Snotlout was still smirking, Fishlegs was still nervous as ever, the mischevious look never left the twins eyes and Astrid looked as accusing as ever. But she somehow looked prettier than when he left.
"Pleased to meet you" HIccup said. "Now, details. I don't plan on staying for long so we need to get to buissness quickly."
"Of course" Stoik responded "The Great Hall is free, so you can plan everything in there"

Hiccuup just nodded and followed the others up there, not wanting to make any more conversation.

Astrid's POV

*I just don't trust those two. Especially that dragon. I remember it so clearly now.  was abou to fight back and then I was kncked out by its stupid tail. Then Hiccup was gone. I need to question those two when I get the chance. Gain his trust then rip off his mask. That should work just fine. Maybe I could even kill that night fury.

3rd Person PV

"This is what we have recorded in the attacks so far" Fishlegs stated "5 deadly nadders, 3 gronkles, 4 hideous zipplebacks and a monsterous nightmare."

I hate nightmares Toothless groaned and Hiccup had to nudge him before he started ranting about how awful they are.

"Got it. I'll think of a plan tonight and get back to you. But before I do, could one of you show me around? I'll need to know where I'm going if I'm to get rid of these dragons for you.
"I'll do it" Astrid offered suspiciously innocent. But Hiccup honestly couldn't care less right now, as long as he had Toothless with him.
"Let's go then" Hiccup said before starting to walk out of the great haal with Asstrid.
