"Alright, let the reindeer gossip began!" San was ready to explain his thoughts to the reindeer. They were the only ones that understood his feelings and thoughts the most. Listening from each reindeer on their gossip but they were more interested in what San had experienced today.

Sipping his hot chocolate, "Well I apologized to Hongjoong, promised I'll asked for permission to the snow globe room, and other things like not being able to leave the North Pole because that's a rule I didn't know they set on me." San took another hot sip while licking whipped cream off the corner of his lips.

Dancer and Prancer couldn't help but asked on why they set that rule on him. The reason he haven't even met the mom's side of the family.

"When I was a baby, I was in my dad's sleigh by accident and I somehow put myself in danger," there was one thought in mind when talking about this, "...you know, mom got to visit her family before. I know Hongjoong said the human world isn't a great place."

San couldn't help but smile when gossiping with the reindeer."So, what if I leave the North Pole. I'm old enough to make my own decisions." the reindeer looked at each other and nodded. "You can disagree or agree with me."

Dasher saying he should go. San has been cooped up since birth here. A change of scenery would be a breath of fresh air for the man. Cupid also agreed as well.

"You really think I should go? I know some of you think I should stay." looking at Vixen with side eyes. Vixen disagrees with that statement of saying he should go. It's expected to discover the human world sooner than later.

Thinking about it, San should try and travel alone. Sipping the last of his hot chocolate, licking his whipped cream upper lips. "So, who's willing to come with me to the human world tonight?"

None of the reindeers wanted to disobey or go missing when they're nearing in the holiday within a few months. This brought some discussions of explaining for San. "I'll go to the real world, make friends, and maybe finally knowing what romance is when my mom explained it to me!"

It sounded easy, until Blizten put in their word of the son's age has to get a job to earn money. Can't just rely on magic alone.

Humans in the real world can't know some random grown adult son can talk to animals, make winter wonderland with a snap of his fingers, and other things that's supernatural to the human eye.

San nodded with a pout as he spoke, "I guess you're right Blizten," sighing out a breath because it was getting close to going to bed for him, "I'll give all 12 of you a chance to think among yourselves on who's willing to take me to the human world."

The reindeers agreed as that topic was over.

San said his goodnights to the reindeers, heading back to the hallways where he saw his mom leaving his dad's office. "Hey mom, is dad busy?"

She gazed over her shoulder with a gentle grin on her lips, sighing before speaking, "He's busy, once again. You know how he is of checking it twice with the children are naughty or nice."

A busy man that gifts children all over the world is a dangerous but enjoyable job for the dad of a single child and a beautiful wife from the human world. "Will he ever spend time with us or willingly take you to your family? Especially me."

Out of nowhere, his mom hugged him closely to her body, small sniffles slipping out. "Are you alright mom?" San hugging back and wanting to know how his mom felt about that question.

The sweet woman looked at him with teary eyes with a smile, "I would love to see my family back in South Korea. I truly do and wanting you to meet them. It's a struggle sometimes when it's around that time of year."

"I know...but could it be possible that only the two of us can go? Dad can't keep me here all my life, I want to experience new things and a change of scenery."

"Oh sweetie, I wish there was a way for you, but Hongjoong will know if your gone because—"

"Because of that rule they put on me when I was a baby." the son's mom's eyes was in shock. "I know the truth mom. Can I trust you though on something?"

The mom listened carefully while doing her last sniffles and wiping her teary eyes of her sleeve. "I'm listening but let's go into your room so your dad can't hear."

Once they were in the bedroom with the door closed shut, San was ready to explain what the topic that he had with the reindeers. "Mom, this sounds crazy but I'm going to leave tonight to the human world."

A moment of silence took over the room until a bright smile and hugging once again.

Letting go of each other gently, the smiling sweet woman pulled out a photo of her friend and herself. "Keep this. The back is the address of a friend of mine. She only knows my secret with everything. Not even her family."

San gazed at the photo and turned it seeing the address that was in his mom's home town. Also the friend's address as well."Wait...you want me to go? What about dad and Hongjoong's opinion on this?"

"We both know both of them would say no. While you were little in my arms. I named you because I used to live in a town with moutains around your age, " his mom counted on her fingers while looking in the son's closet and dresser drawers.

Which was quite embarrassing to be honest.

"What are you doing mom?"

"I'm gonna help you pack of course. After dinner, I'll grab my duffel bag under the bed." seeing his mom filled with joy and excitement he kept the photo in a pillow that was a shiba inu he called Shiber.

Softly grinning, gazing upon the photo with his mom smiling beautifully with her friend that was also pretty.

"Thank you mom. I'll make sure to find her when I go to the human world and visit your home town." hoping this will work and one of the reindeers will take him to that world.

"I hope you do, I heard she has a son around your age." she chuckled with her cheeks all rosy of knowing her friend will get a surprise at her door step or roof. Either way will work.

"We should head to dinner before dad or Hongjoong will have suspicions on us."

Therefore, the son and mom walked out of the room together smiling, knowing the mom will finally give her son experience things with the guide of her friend back home.

Maybe her son will finally find out what romance is just like her. Even facing challenges of what the human world will hold for San.

For now, they're first challenge is through dinner.

Sitting at the dining table that was long. The parents sitting on the ends and San sitting in the middle. The elf chefs serving the meals of tonights dinner, which sweets, again.

Although, Mrs. Choi decided to change it up by having something more traditional, the main course what Korean beef, hot rice, kimchi, and drinks to the family's liking. "Thank you for dinner everyone!" San couldn't help smelling the cooked Korean meat.

The family dug in, enjoying everything in peace. Munching and crunching. "This is really good! Mom did you pick tonight's dinner?"

Showing a cute smile, eyes bright, this was for him to try something she's used to eating back in the human world. "I thought we should expand our horizons with some saltiness and savory flavors."

"I know I have a sweet tooth," taking in another bite with his chopsticks which was fun to try, "I can't stop eating it."

"I'm glad you're liking the food, I wish you could try all the food I had in the human world." giving a wink to her son because he'll get to try all the delicious food tonight and being in the human world.

Both of them looked at the other side of the table, seeing the bearded man eating, not even suspecting a thing. He's not a fan of it but didn't mind trying it. Even thought they should expand the food menu.

The son and mom couldn't help but smile at each other.

San was going to travel and start his new journey after dinner.
