Shinobu hated her life.

That's because, she had a father that took care of her .

You see, Shinobu's father was a great cook. He was famous, known all over the world. But little did people know, he was actually blackmailing people in order to get his recipes. One day, one of the people who he blackmailed exposed him in public. This caused society to be outraged and Shinobu's father had to leave and go undercover, leaving Kanae, Kanao and Shinobu all alone.

Time skip of 10 years

Shinobu's pov

Today's another job interview. I normally hate these days since I always get rejected. People say that I am not pretty enough or that my cooking skills are horrid. That's the reason why I hate interviews. But since it's a way to provide for my family, I'll accept this for once.

I ran through the streets in order to get to my designated area. I bumped into a guy on the street. How clumsy I am. I looked up to see the man and surprisingly, he was pretty cute. Black hair, blue eyes, nice body, he was practically a dream man for a girl.

"Excuse me mam but could you get me to this area? I can't really do it myself." He said to me. Honestly, why not. He was nice, handsome, cute and he looked like he was in a hurry so I decided to escort him there. The funny thing was that it was the place that I was going to. Maybe a coincidence? But I don't really wanna think much about it. It's better to just get the job done quickly.

We got to the address after a few minutes and I gotta say, the place was huge! There were chandeliers,nice printed walls, beautiful marble floors and so much more! I've gotta say that I am impressed.

Both of us were supposed to be on the 6th floor ( which I thought was a coincidence again ). But later on, I figured out that that dude, was gonna be my interviewer.

"The cooking area is that way, I got to see what you got." He said to me. I only nodded and went to the kitchen and my oh my, it was very spacious ( as expected ).

I started working. I didn't really know what to make because I had a lot of options in my mind. I finally made my decision after a minute. It was pretty simple but nice ( at least for me ).

I first got all the necessary ingredients. Onions, garlic,mushrooms, spices, lettuce, chicken, soy sauce, cashews and so many more that I don't want to explain.

I first got the pan ready. Then I put the cashews, onions, garlic and mushrooms in and started stirring  them. I then cut up some chicken and added some spices on it to make it tastier. I put the chicken in the cashew mixture and mixed it up again. I added spices to the soy sauce and I may or may not have tasted it ( it tastes horrible ). After a few minutes I put the soy sauce mixture into the cashew one and stirred it. I also decided to make some rice using the rice cooker. Ten minutes later I put the rice on a plate and took the cashew nut salad out ( I also put some veggies by the way ). I added some finishing touches like some extra spice ( it's gonna be very spicy ). Finally my meal was done.

I served it to the handsome man ( who I learnt was someone named Giyu Tomioka ). He tried a bite. I was nervous. This was it, I'll just get rejected again. Why did I even bother at this point? He had a look of surprise in his face. He is probably so surprised that it tastes so bad.

"It tastes so. . .. good." He said.

At that moment my heart stopped. Did heaven actually accept my non existent prayers? Did I just get a chance to start a new?

"If still want to accept the job, then start tomorrow." He said again.

I was dumbfounded, I thought that I was going to be rejected like the other jobs I interviewed in. But since I got such a life changing choice, why not just use it?

"I accept." I said with a smile on my face.
