"How goes the battle, Xin Zhao and Yang?" King Jarvan III had asked.
"It all went as expected, your majesty. We held them back successfully." Xin Zhao solemnly told the king.
"Many of our kinsmen's lives were lost, but we won in the end thanks to their service, your majesty." Yang told the king in a thoughtful tone.
"I see... Well then, I reward the both of you with high merits. Please continue serving Demacia to the best of your abilities!" King Jarvan III told his two generals.
"YES YOUR MAJESTY!" They both saluted to the king on their knees.
"Now that that's all over with... Please stand and talk to me casually." King Jarvan III commanded them, and Yang looked at Xin Zhao with a confused expression before Xin Zhao nodded to him.
"What is your concern, my king?" Yang asked King Jarvan III who shook his hand.
"No need for formalities right now, Yang. Just Jarvan will do." The king told him and he nodded.
"Um... okay, your... um... Jarvan. So um, what would you like to talk about?" Yang asked King Jarvan in an uncomfortable voice as he was too used to talking to Jarvan as a king.
"You're still young, so I was deciding on sending you to the institute of war to meet other champions and other people." King Jarvan proposed and Yang looked at Xin Zhao worriedly who shrugged.
"But Jarvan, who will defend Demacia while we're all away? I want to stay and protect the country that took me in." Yang voiced his concern and Jarvan shook his head.
"Yang, you've been serving us since you were 15 and that was seven years ago. I've also been looking at your progress as you've grown up, along with Xin Zhao. We figured that this would be best for you." King Jarvan told Yang as Xin Zhao nodded his head.
"Uncle Xin!" Yang yelled and Xin smiled.
"It's fine, Yang. Although we are not related by blood, I consider you as my son and I want what's best for you." Xin Zhao explained kindly.
"Plus, all countries will be sending a good amount of their champions as well, so a war doesn't seem as likely as before." King Jarvan explained.
"But Jarvan, Uncle Xin..." Yang said in a saddened tone.
"It's okay, Yang. Think of this as a learning experience for you to learn and enjoy." King Jarvan proposed nicely and Yang frowned.
"Pack your stuff, Yang. You'll be heading off tomorrow." Xin Zhao told Yang nicely and he frowned before he left.
"Your majesty, are you okay with this? He is one of our strongest champions as well, and he can even compete with his highness prince Jarvan IV, and even beat Garen." Xin Zhao noted and King Jarvan nodded.
"I am quite sure, old friend. He needs this. I honestly grew sad just watching him interact with fellow Demacian champs whenever they were here which is barely. He never really had a social life." King Jarvan proposed and Xin Zhao shrugged.
"You are too kind, your majesty." Xin Zhao smiled as he thanked King Jarvan who nodded happily and sent him off.
