So cold.

Everything is so cold.

You can't move, it's like your entire body is paralyzed.

Managing to open your eyes you realize that you're in some black void. There wasn't a hint of light anywhere, just pure black darkness, it was an unsettling sight "Where..." you groaned, coming to your senses you scanned your current position. Your limbs spread open like a starfish with your limbs chained by some black matter, a cold presence wisped past you causing goosebumps to litter themselves across your body, "Who—!" You were silenced by another voice, a louder and disoriented echoing voice " Silence, I have no intentions of harming you unless you make me . " They threatened, it silenced you for sure.

Suddenly a figure started to take shape in front of you, it grew in size from the black matter and stopped once it finished forming. They looked like your soulmates but much more...liquidated, only having one visible cyan eye followed with a cocky white grin " I've been expecting you...Lilith. " They grinned, from their back four tendrils extended before relaxing " While my idiot of a brother tries to defeat Serendipity, I feel that it is time for us to become well acquainted. I am Nightmare. " They grinned.

Confusion was shown on your face "Who..? Serendipity?" You questioned " Best not to question me now, your body is about to completely fade from existence because of your actions. " You tilted your head downwards in shame, it was true but it was bound to happen sooner or later. Your people could barely defend themselves, their only support being you and the army they had. "My people could have defended themselves had they not placed their reliability on me and my warriors." You argued, they laughed and began walking towards you. " While that is true you could've done your duty and killed those "soulmates" of yours, with every single monster in the underground . " They smirked " By doing so you would've gained LOVE. So much of it that you'd be able to freely walk through the barrier. But you let your loneliness affect your true goal and you ended up staying underground for 5 years, leaving your people with false hope! " They laughed.

You didn't back down however you stood firm "What of it? The war was expected to happen! Even if I killed every monster underground, what could I do about it? Had I interfered with the war my people would-" they cut you off " Your people would've been pleased that their god came to the rescue. But you didn't.show.up. Did you? No,no,no you were busy underground living a wonderful life while your people were up here begging and praying out to you. The runes on your arms let you know that but you just simply ignored it." They fired back " The amount of negative energy I felt here was astronomical! There's no way I could've missed this opportunity to feast, now because of your irresponsible attitude your kingdom has fallen and...oh how silly of me. " They shook their head.

" Your father has fallen. " They smiled.

You felt a pang in your chest at the mention of Zohar, fear began to rise within you " Such a sad thing isn't it? Your own supporter died because of your selfishness. " Nightmare laughed, a tendril extended from his back " Now I'll be nice and spare you...under one condition. " He smirked, the extended tendril pressed against your chest. A tugging sensation caused you to yelp, looking down you stared at your glowing pulsing soul " You give me this beautiful powerful soul, and I'll let you go. Though you will be soulless, unable to feel or express emotion just like an empty husk. " Nightmare said, his eye never leaving your soul. " Or...Stay here to wither away into nothingness and let your body continue to be used by Serendipity. " You wanted to punch him, he gave you no advantage to freedom and he knew it.
