The Prince's Captain (Garroth X Laurance)

A dark shade of amber stretched endlessly in the sky, the world slowly darkening as the Sun lay to rest. Cadenza quickly checked her reflection, fixing her dress strap before walking into the restaurant. Upon arriving, the young man she came to meet with spotted her and grinned.

"Cadenza! So glad you could make it." Blaze shook her hand firmly before escorting her to her seat. He wore a simple black button up with navy jeans. Nothing too fancy, but still classy enough for the occasion. She smiled politely, following behind him.

Cadenza had never properly spoken to Blaze before, and her only knowledge of him stemmed from brief interactions in school. It was only now she was beginning to notice things about him at all; such as his eyes being different colours or the faint scar on his face.

They sat down and engaged in some small talk.
She's beginning to wonder why he asked her to meet with him when his face takes on a serious expression.

"I wanted to speak with you on something. I don't really have anyone close to me I can talk about it with, and you're one of the seniors I feel I can trust with this." The werewolf begins, meeting her eyes. His tone starts to worry her.

"Did something happen?" She asks hesitantly.

He blinks. Then he suddenly lightens up a bit, chuckling.

"Oh, don't worry, it's not personal to me or anything, I'm not about to start telling you some tragic backstory of mine!" He laughs, realising he made it seem a lot worse than it is.

"Ah, I see. No worries then." Cadenza chuckles, relaxing at his words. Blaze lets out a long, drawn out sigh.

"It's just... it's about Battle of the Captains."

[Disaster Trio] Monday 26th, 2:30am.

Garroth: I can't sleep

Katelyn: me either

Garroth: You up worrying about your volleyball tournament?

Katelyn: how'd you know?

Garroth: Just figured. First big game is tomorrow right?

Katelyn: yeah.

Garroth: I'll have to come watch the game. Will be cheering on you and Teony.

Katelyn: hey, if you can make it that'd be great.

Garroth: I'll try my best.

Katelyn: what's got you up so late?

Garroth: Just can't sleep.

Aph: I forgot to mute this chat

Katelyn: wtf are you doing awake aph???

Aph: I'm always awake at this time wdym

Garroth: She's probably reading fanfics again.

Aph: Do not expose me unless you want your secrets revealed.

Garroth: Shutting up now.

Katelyn: no continue, I wanna know.

Aph: Goodnight!

Katelyn: ffs.

That morning all three of them were regretting the lack of sleep. Luckily Katelyn brought in a huge coffee to share with Aph. As Garroth walked into school, he immediately noticed something was different about Laurance.
