Lizzy's Point of View

We entered the caves. The wet damp air hit my nose. I just stood there as I took in the colorful pictures of the cave walls. Some showed battle scenes and others showed peaceful scenes. It was beautiful. They looked as if they were almost real, as if they were jumping out at you.

"Earth to Lizzy." Anna-Marie's voice broke my thoughts.

"AAHH!!" I screamed just for fun.

"Why did you just scream?"

"Cuz no one said i couldn't, duh!" My voice echoed through the tunnel like caves. Anna-Marie gave me a shove. I gave her a shove back accidentally pushing both of us in to the wall.

Luna broke in, "Ok guys cool it, we have to hurry."

"OH!! Can we run!?!" I questioned. I love running.

"Sure, why not?"

We all took of at a pretty steady pace, Luna in front.

The three of us arrived back underground the main building at the exact time that everyone had to be running around. Papers were flying everywhere. Luna left us with Steve and took off.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"That attack that happened today was just a little warning you could say, but your not going to do anything this time. We want you to watch from the surveillance camra's we have all over the island. You girls need to know what your up against for future reference. We need you both, because you will be working together a lot." He finished this up and we just sat and watched. It got boring after a while and I almost fell asleep. Later we were served dinner and brought back to the dorm room.

**************

This was going to be my first day at this new school and i was already freaking. I really good at making new friends but for some reason i didn't get the idea that that was going to happen here very easily. I looked at my school schedule, first Training. For the first few days i was going to go to that class with the other people my age and once i got used to it i would be taken out for more intense training.

I walked to the gym ignoring the feeling that everyone was starring at me. I pushed the green-tinted glass doors open and headed inside.

"Aaahh, welcome. You must be Lizzy, a new student. I was told all about you." A lady said. I think she's the trainer. Her voice became more serious, "Your late, i don't like that but i'll let you slide this one time sense this is your first day. By the way, I'm Ms. Armstrong."

"Thank you." i replied as I made my way over to the group of students.

"Today we're going to play dodge. Will someone please explain the rules to the new girl?"

"I'll do it!" A boy standing next to me said. He turned to me, "We basically try to attack each other, not to the point where the other person dies but enough so that your opponent will drop out of the fight."

"That sounds fun." i said sarcastically.

"Fan out and pick a partner!" Ms. Armstrong yelled.

I stayed where i was and so did the boy as everyone else spread out.

"Wanna be partners?" He asked.

"Sure." I said.

"Ok so whats your ability?"

"Mainly a shifter, yours?"

"I can control light, wait what do you mean mainly?"

"Well-" i started but was cut off by Ms. Armstrong yelling "Fight!"
