Winter Fest, continued...
Taylor was clapping and jumping delightedly on stage as I finished the high note to Dusk Till Dawn.
And once I was done I looked out to the crowd, seeing and feeling the love and happiness radiate towards me. Taylor joined me at my side and I put my arm around her, hearing the crowd go even more crazy. She looked at me and we grinned at each other.
"one last song" she whispered in my ear and I nodded.
We were to perform Gorgeous, and during rehearsals we had even worked together to alter some lyrics to suit me!
So we got into position as the music started playing... And lost ourselves in the moment.

After we were finished I could barely hear my own thoughts over the crowd. They were screaming, clapping and chanting our names.
Taylor and I looked at each other, laughing. I felt so, so amazing. Never had I thought that my return to stage would be this glorious and beside Taylor... everything felt so easy, so happy...
We bowed and walked backstage together, before parting and making our ways to our rooms.
I grabbed a bottle of water and took some thirsty sips, so much singing had literally dried up my throat. I was also so hungry, I could definitely do with some food!
But I decided that if anyone deserved some good food, it was Taylor. So I walked up to her room to ask her what we should get.
I walked up to her room and knocked on the door.
"come in!"
I opened the door and peeked through to see Taylor in a comfortable hoodie, sitting on a couch, probably texting somebody.
"Oh, Zayn!!" she said and immediately got up.
"Hey, Taylor" I grinned. She gave me a light hug and motioned to me to sit down next to her.
"I just wanted to thank you for choosing me for tonight. It was my first stage comeback, I'm not going to lie to you, I was a bit nervous. But, having you on stage with me really calmed me now and I was so in the moment" I said. "You're amazing, Taylor"
"Aww, Zayn" she gushed, laughing. "It was you who was amazing! Truly, I am so happy I came across your contact that night"
"I'm happy too" I replied. "So, I thought we should order food. It's up to you because you're the reason for my happiness"
I gave her a joking wink and she laughed again.
"Okay... Uhm, pizza?" she said.
"Perfect!" I replied and opened up my phone to order something nice.
