Flashback...
"Taylor..." I whispered, brushing my hand against her soft cheek.
She was so beautiful... I felt her inch closer to me and brought my lips down to hers, kissing her lightly first, then deeper but still slowly.
She wrapped her hands around my waist and I cupped her cheeks. This feeling of kissing Taylor was so new to me, I hadn't felt this way with any of my exes.
But then... Someone knocked on the door, causing us to break apart.
Taylor hastily got up to check who it is and I got up, smoothening down my t-shirt.
"Taylor, cars here. We're ready to go" it was Taylor's assistant. She smiled and waved at me while grabbing some bags from the room.
"Let's go" said Taylor, she grabbed her phone and I felt her avoiding my gaze.
Finally as she was about to leave the room, she looked back at me. Still avoiding exact eye-contact.
"See you, Zayn. Thank you" she said.
And she was gone before I even had the chance to reply.
End of flashback...
...
It had been 2 days since Winter Fest and those were the last words I heard from Taylor.
I had tried texting, but received no reply.
This had been worrying me constantly, even when I tried to distract myself. I didn't understand. She had reciprocated during that kiss... so why was she avoiding me?
Maybe she's in love with someone else? She thinks it was a mistake?
Maybe it didn't mean much to her?
There were a lot of questions that I didn't have the answers to.
But if there's one thing I have learnt from my past relationships and experiences with other people, is that often they needed some time. To process, to reflect and to try to come up with a decision or solution.
Therefore, I made up my mind that I wasn't going to rush anything.
But that doesn't mean I would give up on Taylor... Definitely not.
