I had just gotten off a call from my manager.
iHeartRadio wanted me so bad to headline their shows that would kick off the winter season - Winter Fest. Not gonna lie, I was over the moon! Winter shows were totally my forte.
But there's a catch.
They also wanted me to bring a special, surprise guest on tour. It could be anyone! I told my manager that I would contact everyone I could and get back to them within some time if there was anyone willing and able.
Of course, my first decision was none other than Selena Gomez.
Sel had been one of those people who had stuck with me from the beginning, I just couldn't be more thankful to have her by my side. I gave her a quick ring, crossing my fingers that she'd be free.
"Hey Sel!" I said, as she picked up the phone.
"Taylor, hi girl"
"Hey, uhm.. so I just got a call. They want me to headline Winter Fest and they want me to bring a surprise guest... It's scheduled for the first weekend of December" I explained.
"Wow, I love Winter Fest" she gushed. "but Tay, I have work planned for the first weekend of December"
"Oh, no. Really?" I groaned.
"Yeaaah.. I'm so sorry. Maybe you can try Ed or someone?" she asked.
"It's okay, Sel. I got this" I replied. "Thank you, though".
We talked a little bit about other things and I hung up because I really had to find someone to perform with me.
I decided to scroll down my contacts... Ed Sheeran, Kacey Musgraves... Then suddenly my eyes caught one contact I hadn't spoken to in a while, Zayn!
If Zayn agreed to headline Winter Fest with me, it would be the show of a lifetime! Firstly, we hadn't performed live together before. Secondly, I Don't Wanna Live Forever came out quite a long time ago... Which means my detective fans would never ever see this coming!
I grinned to myself and felt like a mastermind as I dialled Zayn's number, hoping he'd pick up
