"I would love to welcome everyone to the Coven ball," emperor Bellso's voice rings out to the crowd who cheered his name, but honestly, I tuned out most of what he said.
The monarch, the golden guard, and I all lined up next to the sovereign, all of us waiting for the monarch to give the signal. She quickly swarmed with her finger as everyone at the party started moving around. The 3 of us leave as the hologram turns on.
"About time" I run to my room to dress in my suit, then head back to the party.
The crowd is dancing or grabbing drinks, but a few of our gust interest me; one was the blight twins. I'm pretty sure I saw sticking kick me signs on people's backs. "sigh, I don't know what I was expecting to think people would flock to me just bc I'm not dressing up as Crow."
I walk to the punch bowl to get a cup while looking at my crow hologram. Someone was talking to it. A boy around my age with ashy blond hair and a scar going down his cheek he's looking all flushed as he is trying so hard to get the hologram's attention. "hey, what are you trying to accomplish here?" I say with a goofy grin
The boy looks at me and stutters, "N-Nothing! I was only talking to a friend of mine," he says as if it's worth bragging about before stepping closer to me. "Well, If you want, I can hang out with you. Crow seems busy anyways," he says, showing off the gap tooth.
"oh yeah, I mean, the punch bowl is free and doesn't require you to have friends, haha" I scratch my cheek lightly, not knowing why I just said that.
"Oh, I was hoping to dance since, well, it's a ball in all" he turns around and kicks the ground lightly "oh, and I'm hunter, by the way."
"Im, Kevin, and id love to dance but-" before I could finish felt him take my hand and usher me into the dance floor, taking the lead. My face turned bright red from embarrassment.
